Hello there!
We are a cozy little family, consisting of my mother Oréann, myself, Dario (34), our dog Hakan, a cat named Shiva. Nestled in the picturesque Flemish Ardennes, we have a beautiful piece of land and a house. Our dream, or more precisely, our life purpose, is to transform our property into a permaculture/food forest paradise and, with time, achieve as much self-sufficiency as possible across all levels—material, mental, psychic, physical, and spiritual. So, in this whole creating process we could use some extra pairs of hands and extra creative brains.
Within this paradise, we'll be creating various types of eco/self-constructions, including mud and straw constructions, yurts, and more. Our house itself could use some renovation and improvement. Your help would be highly appreciated, and there's a great variety of tasks where your skills could make a significant impact.
If you have knowledge or experience in permaculture, food forests, landscape design, construction, woodwork, masonry, and more, don't hesitate to join us. We're eager to learn and equally enthusiastic about sharing our knowledge in juicing, natural medicines, self-healing, wellness, energy, hypnosis, and much more.
Living a healthy lifestyle is important to us. Personally, we don't consume alcohol, and our diet is mostly vegetarian. Occasionally, we may be cleansing or juicing. We practice daily vowel chanting and meditation, and you're welcome to participate. To unwind and connect with nature, we enjoy fire gatherings with a pleasant exchange of music. We kindly ask that you respect the place and energy we've invested here; otherwise, we may need to ask you to leave.
The Flemish Ardennes is renowned for its beautiful hiking paths. If you're looking to experience nature in Belgium, this is a must-visit destination.

We may be atypical Belgians, but our unique lifestyle and vision on various subjects are the aspects of our culture that we eagerly share. We are enthusiastic about learning more and equally passionate about sharing our knowledge in juicing, natural medicines, self-healing, wellness, energy, hypnosis, and much more.
In terms of experiencing Belgium, you have the opportunity to explore our beautiful region in the Flemish Ardennes. Immerse yourself in nature through hiking, discover local artisanal retailers, and soak in the tranquility of the forests. Our location is conveniently situated, just 10 minutes away from the train station, providing easy access to travel anywhere in Belgium. Whether you wish to visit Ghent, Bruges, head to the beach, or explore other destinations, the possibilities are endless.
Arbeit
Since 2018, a lot has been accomplished in terms of cleaning and construction on our property. However, our land is extensive, so we continue to shape and organize it to make it even more beautiful over time, piece by piece. In addition to that, our garden could always use some assistance with daily tasks. If you have knowledge in gardening, (wood) constructions, you could definitely help us enhance our dream family home. All creative ideas aligned with our vision certainly have a chance to flourish here!

Unterkunft
We have a room available for sharing within our house for fellow Workawayers. Alternatively, if you prefer being closer to nature, camping outside is also an option, based on availability and your preference.
Common spaces like the kitchen and bathroom will be shared among all residents, and Wi-Fi is available. We follow a vegetarian lifestyle.
In exchange for 5 days of help per week, with 5 hours each day, we offer breakfast, one daily meal, and a light dinner or soup. Everyone will be involved in the preparation of the lunch, fostering a sense of community and shared responsibility.

To visit the Flemish Ardennes you won't need much more as your own feets, but if you'd like to discover something around that's a bit further away we'll be pleased to offer you a lift.
We're also 10 minutes away from the trainstation that would get you easily to main city's.
So to explore and visit there are no limits, just ask about it and we help you with pleasure to organise it.
