  My peaceful place on Earth
  
  Nature all around me.
  Birds singing and forest animals coming close to my doorstep.
  The lake, sometimes completely still and mirror-like, sometimes covered in little white waves — peacefully being there, no matter what.
  
  I love the sense of calm that exists in this place, and even more, the feeling of peace it creates within me whenever I come home.
  
  It is my safe and quiet place on Earth — a place where I can breathe, slow down, and simply be.
  
  I live here with my cat, a truly talented little rat hunter! 🐈
  
  He loves nothing more than when I settle down, giving him all the time he needs for cuddles, scratches and a cosy spot in my lap.
  
  He is very much a part of the calm and peaceful feeling of home — even though he occasionally has his own little adventures as the local rat catcher. 😊
  
  My two children are both grown up and have flown the nest. It makes me happy and proud to see them living their own lives and following their dreams.
  
  Now that they have found their own paths, I have more space in my life to explore, experience new things, and follow some of my own dreams too.

  If you are curious about the Swedish language, Swedish culture and traditions, traditional Swedish cooking and, of course, Swedish fika, you will have plenty of opportunities to experience all of that here. 🇸🇪☕

  Arbeit

  I live here even though my body is a little worn out, and my back is not particularly well suited to all the work that comes with looking after a house and garden. In many ways, an apartment would probably be the more practical choice — but I know that I would not be happy there. This place is where I feel at home.
  
  So I am wondering if Workaway could be a way to find some help here. Help and company. Perhaps there is someone who enjoys being a bit of a handyman, helping with practical tasks around the house and spending time in the garden. Someone who loves animals and nature would feel especially at home here.
  
  There is some more physical tasks to be done from time to time, including removing some invasive plants and expanding the lawn for that reason. Nothing needs to be done in a hurry, though. I would much rather have someone who enjoys working at a calm and comfortable pace and appreciates the surroundings. But this place needs a little love and care.
  
  I am hoping to find someone who is not afraid of getting their hands dirty or doing a bit of physical tasks from time to time, but who also enjoys peace and quiet.
  
  Some simple DIY tasks may also be needed from time to time. When I am at work, you will need to prepare your own meals. When I am home, I am happy to cook for both of us — according to your wishes. 😊
  
  In return, I hope to offer a peaceful place to stay, surrounded by nature, where there is plenty of space to breathe, slow down and simply enjoy being here. If you enjoy fishing, you will have plenty of opportunities to do so here. 🎣
  
  I really enjoy working together and being part of the process. Even though my body is a little worn out, I still want to contribute with whatever I am able to do. I believe there is something special about working side by side, helping each other and sharing the feeling of getting things done together.
  
  I also need some help with my cat when I am at work — making sure he gets his food and, most importantly, some company.
  
  So being a true animal lover is very important to me. ❤️ My cat is a big part of my home, and I would love for someone to enjoy his company as much as he enjoys theirs.

  Unterkunft

  When I am at work, you will need to prepare your own meals. When I am home, I am happy to cook for both of us — according to your wishes. 😊
  
  You will have your own little cabin, giving you your own private space and plenty of peace and quiet.
  
  The only downside is that you will need to come into the house to use the shower and toilet — but it’s only about 10 metres away, so hopefully not too much of an inconvenience. 😉

  Was noch ...

  This is a very rural and peaceful place, so you should be prepared for a little bit of distance from everyday conveniences. The nearest bus stop is about 8 km away, and there is also a small local shop there for the essentials.
  
  The nearest town is about 12 km away, where you will find plenty of shops, several grocery stores, pharmacies and restaurants.
  
  But there is another option… if you travel by water, the town is actually much closer. 😉🚤 And of course, there is always the option of cycling! 🚲
