Stay in a house forest and learn terrestrial and aerial techniques in Puerto Varas, Chile

  Beschreibung

  The place you will entirely love it!!. The main house it’s being built within a forest (literally!), no machinery has disturbed the forest architecture. I have installed already an iron wired system around and above the house so no trees would fall down hitting the house if you might ask yourself about your security 😜👍🏼.
  The place is located at the Lake District’s region in Chile (south of Chile, Región de Los Lagos)
  
  A lot of magnificent places around as Osorno vulcano and Calbuco vulcano literally around the corner!, Chapo’s lake, Ensenada, Cochamó and several and uncountable places for exploring!!
  The closest town are Puerto Varas, Alerce and Puerto Montt (45-60 minutes!) and the nearest village is Colonia Rio Sur ( 2-5 minutes by car).
  
  The house project is being built in a sustainable way ( I did my degree in Natural resources Engineer by studies).
  
  Currently family members living on site are 2. Atena, 3years old , a Mexican female dog, who loves spicy food, really! She is well trained, and loves to run! Specially after the cattle around! So let her to be happy 😊.
  
  And I, Benjamin Medina, 35 years old, Chilean. I’ve lived abroad for a while, specifically Australia, I speak Spanish, English , both fluently and some French.
  I love meeting new and interesting people, enjoy music, being outside, outdoor sports and the good food tho!!
  Time to time, friends comes over to stay/ help etc. I have a truck 🛻 so there is transportation. The place is reachable by public transport coming from Puerto Montt in a local bus 🚌 (1-2 times a day).
  
  Bikers and self transport are more than welcome any time!🙌

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Atena and I, ( my girlfriend Flor, she lives in Argentina, she is part of the family as well with her cat), we love to share and exchange meals, card games as truco you could learn here before to travel to the southern Patagonia. Local activities as little festivals and garden community you’re more than welcome to come over too!
  
  I can share with you my language skills, my eco-constructing/traditional skills, bow shooting (sometimes trying to bow hunting). Places around and some sports if you would like too. Meeting new friends and local people from this area.
  
  I hope to keep learning and meeting different people all over the world, I love travelling nonetheless from 2022 I have stayed more “sedentary “ so I want to keep travelling around the world hosting people from everywhere else!!👌👌

  Arbeit

  Helping with the house construction for sure if you like either you want to learn as well. (Adobe layering internal walls, stapling tetra-pack as an insulation layer in walls.
  
  I have a vegetable garden area where I need help too ( potentially turning it into a greenhouse!)
  
  Firewood cutting a little for the winter.
  
  And one of the main tasks and important duties could be to petting Atena!, sometimes I have to go somewhere and she is not allow 👎 so you could give me an enormous hand with that 🙌🙌

  Unterkunft

  There are 3 rooms available at home. 2 rooms for hosting and my my room with Atena.
  There are multiple places for camping and I have a tent for borrowing if you wish.
  For bedding I have 3 single mattresses ( not the best not the worst) and multiple yoga’s Matt.
  The house has a fire place (Bosca) and a fire kitchen (blanquita) beside the gas kitchen stove for heating.
  
  Generally we eat 3 times per day, even for depending how starving we could be. Mostly vegetarian ( I have no fridge so I don’t buy certain products nonetheless I eat meat time to time.
  You need to be creative in the kitchen, I have a lot of ingredients, and we enjoy food and interesting food tho!✌🏼😜
  If you want snacking you have to provide them yourself. I have dry fruits sometimes and time to time biscuits.
  Flour, yeast and oil always there for you to cook snacks or bread, etc.

  In your free time you can enjoy the quite place ( no internet either electrical network, I have a fuel generator , so only 1 hour per day as maximum is on in order to charge some stuff).
  I have a bicycle, you could go biking, doing some couple days hiking, visiting tourist areas and simply enjoy a rest time in order to keep travelling 🧭.
  Transport by bus once a day from Puerto Montt( sometimes 2 times).
  
  Houses rules are basically keep things tidy, water the plants , and bringing your own speaker will help to keep the music running longer. Beside that, the place is chill, waking up with birds and going bed according to the sun light availability at the moment.
  Smokers are welcome, you can smoke cigarettes but in the terrace or anywhere else outside👌
