Hello, my name is Maite and after living in Denmark for a while and working in environmental engineering there I come back a few years ago to rebuild the family stone house (500 years old). We have built a bioconstruction Domo-house ( in a collaborative way) with a green roof and dry toilet and grey water system. Now, we are doing projects outside, creating a greenhouse dome, a forest garden, and a vegetable garden; using permaculture principles.
I love eating good food directly from the garden and creating fermented drinks and vegetables.

The place is a traditional "Baserri", a basque traditional cottage. As a volunteer, you would learn about the Basque culture, and you would have the chance to know more about the reserve of the biosphere "Urdaibai" where we are located. You will learn also about local varieties of vegetables and permaculture practices in the social and environmental areas.
Arbeit
I am by myself in the big space and garden and I would love to share it and do projects together in the garden and build new bioconstruction structures.
I would love some help with the communication strategy and the social network.
I would love some help with the vegetable garden and sustainable forest management.

Unterkunft
As a volunteer, you would be sleeping in a room in the cottage. You would get good food from the garden ( we can adapt to vegetarian and vegan). We will cook together and we will have spare time in the evening to enjoy the surrounding areas ( beach, mountains and nature) .
