  We are an ngo that works with youth information, mobility and social entrepreneurship. In the field of mobility we have different programmes for young people, international volunteers programmes, youth exchanges and trainings, as well as international youth camps. For implementing the international summer camps we need help to build the camp and later help to do different art and sport activities with youth. Our camp is situated in the small place in our region, just 2 minutes walking from the sea. It is an space that offers tranquility and beautiful nature. Everything in the camp is done by the association members and volunteers, and accommodation is provided in the tents. We are cooking daily, so we offer to all our volunteers food, drinks, snacks as much as they want. Our main intention for the future is to upgrade the camp with innovative ideas, ecological approach and sustainability so we would like to invite open minded volunteers to help us in that path. Important to know that we host volunteers from June till August. As we work with young people and the space we share is with young people we accept volunteers the same age, which means the volunteers aged 18 - 42. We ask from volunteers to be able to work in the team but also alone, to have some experience already with organizing activities for young people, to be able to live and volunteer in the nature, to be open minded, friendly and motivated to do activies with us. For sure the plus is if the volunteer has some building / gardening skills too. We are a small ngo, and therefore we are like a family. We will give everything we can to feel you welcome and part of our family.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Travellers will learn about the teamwork, working with young people coming from different nationalities and backgrounds, time menagement, nature. Our camp is next to the sea so during the free time travellers will have a chance to go to the beach, to simple enjoy in the peace, go hiking, kayaking, walking...
  
  Travellers can learn a lot of our croatian culture, how an ngo works, how to manage projects for young people, but also how to live in a small place and simple enjoy in every day.
  
  They will have the chance to explore the surroundings and visit cultural places with us and our youth groups.

  Arbeit

  The activities we need the help with in the summer camp during the summer are:
  - maintaining the camp area (cutting the grass, cleaning, putting the tents, doing different constructions for the facilities of the camp: wooden houses/storage/kitchen place, painting, making fence...)
  - activities with children and young people (animation, doing different workshops, designing and making furniture out of pallets, sport activites, water activities and games, organizing evening activities...)
  - cooking (preparing the meals together with the groups in the camp)
  - trail and walking tours (accompanying groups to the field trips..).
  
  All creative ideas are more than welcome. :)
  
  In June we need help ONLY with cleaning the camp area (cutting the grass, making more places for the tents) maintaining the field (preparing the field for the camp), putting up the tents (we need to put around 50 tents, and before that to make the construction out of pallets for them), to transport the things and materials to the camp. In this month we don't need any help with animation of the groups / workshops / art activities. We don't host any groups then, it's just preparing the field for upcoming camps. It's all manual work.
  
  In July and August, we host the youth groups who are coming to join our camp within various projects, so the programme is each time different. The programme is lead by the team of the ngo but we do need and appreciate the help of the volunteers in implementing different workshops / games / outdoor activities, preparing the meals for all of us, cleaning the camp, helping in outdoor activities: hiking routes, beach cleaning, forest cleaning and marking, animation, evening activities.... So we need people with experience in animation of the young people / workshops and outdoor activities for young people who will help us with the programme and daily life in the camp, as well as who can propose and implement their own activities and help with cooking daily. Additionally: guitar playing for bonfires, yoga / pilates for morning activities are welcomed as well or any other skills that you would like to share.
  
  
  Apart from that additionally tasks can be making photo/video materials of our camp and activities, content promotion.
  
  Please before applying, think good if this project is for you, how you can help and if we can rely on you in the chosen period. As it's living and volunteering in nature, with lots of people and it does have a lot of responsibilities and tasks to do, please carefully decide if this is what you are searching for. We do relay on each of the parts of our team and it's important that the tasks are taken seriously. Please notice that in our camp we we tend to respect nature and to live with nature. We work with young people aged 15-30, not with children.
  
  The work is 5-6 hours per day, free days are to be agreed together. Working language is english, so volunteers are expected to communicate and work on english language.
  
  As a workawayer, you will have 3 meals per day (and more if you want/need/...), water/juices/coffee/tea on disposal as much as you want, free accommodation, transport to and from the camp from the nearest town on arrival and departure, internet,.... Each of our volunteer has a single tent, with matress and pillow + lining and blanket.
  
  Please notice that we are 17 km away from the nearest town and we can't provide you daily transport to the town, only on departure or arrival, or when we do groceries, so staying is in the camp full time as well as the accommodation.

  In the summer camp we provide the volunteers accommodation in the tents. Each volunteer has his/her own tent with matress, sleeping bag, blanket. Our tents are comfortable, waterproof and safe.

  There are great local cultural sights to explore as well as a high number of trail / hiking paths, hidden beaches. As hosts we give the best we can for the travellers to feel welcome and part of our team so we often organize different mutual activities and travellings through our region.

  We do accept volunteers travelling in campervans. We have a place inside our territory in which the van can be parked and connected with electricity and water.

  We do accept the workawayers with pets. The most important is that the pet is socialized as we daily work with young people and our groups can be even up to 50 people.
