  Beschreibung

  We began our activities in 2000, initially supporting women in distress through a solidarity group formed during religious community activities. This initiative was later formalized into an NGO in 2004. We are women who have experienced precarious living conditions and chose to take action to transform our lives and improve our environment.
  Our center is located in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin, West Africa, where children and women are among the most vulnerable. Poverty is widespread, gender inequality remains strong, and children’s rights are often poorly respected.
  
  In 2008, we opened a nursery and daycare center to provide:
  A safe and protective space for children
  Early education (nursery school, kindergarten, tutoring)
  Daily care (hygiene, meals)
  Holiday activities (holiday camps, Christmas celebrations)
  Support and training for women in difficulty, including single mothers and out-of-school girls
  Craft, sewing, and embroidery activities (currently being set up)
  Awareness-raising activities on children’s rights, workplace safety, women’s empowerment, gender equality, and sustainable development
  Originally, the center was expected to be financially supported by fees from families with more resources using our childcare services. However, over more than 10 years of experience, it has become clear that this model is not sufficient. The income generated does not cover the real costs of running the center.
  
  ⚠️ A crucial reality: fundraising is essential
  Today, our center has no stable or guaranteed source of funding. As a result, fundraising has become a central and vital part of our work. Without it, we cannot maintain or expand our activities, nor ensure continuity for the children and families who depend on us.
  For this reason, we are particularly looking for Workawayers who are willing and motivated to actively support fundraising efforts, such as:
  Helping design or manage online fundraising campaigns
  Writing project presentations, donor messages, or grant applications
  Supporting communication and awareness through social media or storytelling
  Sharing creative ideas to mobilize financial and material support
  Fundraising is not an optional task here — it is a core mission that directly impacts the sustainability of the center and the protection and education of children.
  By joining us, you are not only helping on-site, but also contributing to the long-term survival and development of a solidarity-based project led by women for children, families, and the wider community.
  We welcome volunteers who share values of solidarity, responsibility, and social impact, and who are ready to engage with both heart and commitment.

We specify that we are very close to the biggest stadium of Benin (Stadium Friendship General Mathieu KEREKOU KOUHOUNOU) where you can attend or participate in entertainment activities.
  
  Also the city of Cotonou is at the seaside and has e Dantokpa which is one of the largest and most impressive The city of Ouidah which is the city par excellence of Vodoun and Ganvié which is one of the largest lacustrine villages in the sub region are less than 25km from us.
  
  We guarantee a welcome and a friendly atmosphere, so that you feel at home. "In Benin the foreigner is king" .Also you will freely choose the activities that you would like better. Our activities will allow you to discover Beninese culture, to learn, to share the joy of children every day; to improve your creativity; give and receive on major issues of the environment.

  We wish to welcome volunteers / trainees / cooperants, to obtain:
  *️️️️️️️️️️️️ contributions of ideas / implementation in the mobilization of help or support, both physical, material and financial to our activities, specifically: *️️️️️️️️️️️️ the development of the living environment
  *️️️️️️️️️️️️ the creation and animation of a website;
  *️️️️️️️️️️️️ supervision of children (class, tutoring for elementary school children, daycare, summer camps, learning English, prospecting, training and awareness of adults on certain topics).
  We wish to welcome volunteers / trainees / cooperants, to obtain:
  
  *️️️️️️️️️️️️ contributions of ideas / implementation in the mobilization of help or support, both physical, material and financial to our activities, specifically:
  *️️️️️️️️️️️️ the development of the living environment
  *️️️️️️️️️️️️ supervision of children (class, tutoring for elementary school children, daycare, summer camps, learning English, prospecting, training and awareness of adults on certain topics).
  
  Current specific needs:
-We are looking for people with good communication skills. Our foundation is growing up and we want more visibility on the different social network ( instagram, TikTok, Facebook). The volunteer who come here should be able to animate them as much as possible everyday. 
- One of the other mission, will be to find other partnership and continue are crowdfunding campaign.

  Community needs
Our guests/volunteers are not really aware of the needs of the community. It is a very poor community where there is a great need for toys for kids, learning materials like books, pens.
  
  That's why we request anyone with that kind heart to at least help with any amount of finance affordable. I had feedback to include this to the page as volunteers could bring the above from their countries.
