  Welcome to one of the most picturesque corners of Penang Island....Batu Ferringhi. Our quiet apartment surrounded by lush jungle views, with the distant calls of dusky leaf monkeys....its magical. Nearby is a local beach that truly comes alive in the evenings, with vibrant markets, yummy Malay food, and cheap massages.

  In our complex there’s a swimming pool, a gym, a tennis court, badminton court, table tennis, kids play area, office space to rent and out door gym with BBQ area. A perfect place for relaxing with a good book, enjoy some peaceful time to yourself, or to stay fit and healthy. This is a home made for calm, comfort, and connection with nature.💟

  We value meaningful cultural exchange so would love to share insights into life on Penang Island, including local places, favourite food spots, nearby beaches, jungle walks, and how to get around like a local. Happy to share knowledge around sustainable living, including how to care for an eco compost system with African night crawler worms, eat plant based food, as well as tips for tropical plant care and maintaining a calm, organised home.
  We’ve created a peaceful space that’s perfect for practising yoga and meditation, and we hope Workawayers will enjoy using it as a place to slow down, reflect, and recharge. In return, we are well travelled people who have volunteered all over the world so we love learning from people of different cultures. Sharing stories and experiences, exchanging ideas about simple living, sustainability, and connecting us with new places.

  Arbeit

  The responsibilities are simple and manageable, with our main priorities being caring for our plants, looking after our compost worms, and keeping the apartment clean and well maintained.
  This is an independent house-sitting opportunity, ideal for someone who is responsible and comfortable managing things on their own. You’ll have plenty of time and space to enjoy the home, the pool, and the peaceful natural surroundings. While we won’t be doing tasks together, but we may like to meet you before, we’re always happy to share guidance, local tips, and anything you need to feel confident and settled during your stay.

  Unterkunft

  We offer a clean, comfortable one-bedroom apartment with a queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom. You’ll have full use of the living space and a well-equipped kitchen with all necessary cooking appliances. Fresh bedding is provided.
  
  The apartment is located in a secure building with 24/7 security services, and key card access is required to use the facilities, ensuring a safe and private stay.
  
  Food is flexible and up to you — you’re welcome to cook for yourself, order food easily via Grab, or explore the local restaurants just down the road.

  We live a fully plant-based lifestyle and kindly ask that no meat, fish, or other animal products be brought into or cooked in our home. This is important to us for ethical reasons, and it also helps keep the apartment smelling fresh.
  
  You are of course free to eat whatever you like when dining out — we simply ask that our home remains a plant-based space. Thank you for understanding and respecting the way we live.
