  Nearly 30 years ago, we (Najat, Noureddine and our children) settled here, a former wine estate near the Thau Lagoon. Since then, we’ve been restoring this place slowly and patiently, following the rhythm of the seasons.
  
  Once covered in vineyards, the land is now a large, green and shady garden. Chickens, rabbits, and donkeys roam freely. We’ve planted fruit trees, and our vegetable garden feeds us during the warmer months.
  All year round—especially in summer—we enjoy welcoming family and friends around the pool and the outdoor kitchen.
  
  Our estate covers 7 hectares and is located just 2 km from Mèze, between Montpellier and Béziers. The lagoon is nearby, known for its oysters, mussels, and natural beauty.
  
  We host 1 to 3 Workaway volunteers at a time. They share our daily life and stay on the second floor of the house, in individual rooms.
  In exchange for accommodation and meals, we ask for about 4 to 5 hours of help per day, 5 days a week.
  The minimum stay is two weeks, to have time to get to know each other and settle into the rhythm of the place.
  
  We live with the seasons:
  
  In winter and spring: small jobs, maintenance, DIY.
  
  In summer: gardening, caring for the animals, and harvesting vegetables.
  
  It’s a lively and welcoming place. We enjoy sharing a drink at the end of the day and cooking dishes from the South.
  
  We speak French, English, and Arabic fluently, and we can get by in Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian.
  If you'd like to improve your French, this is a great place to do so—we take the time to help you practice every day.

  Il y a près de 30 ans, Nous (Najat, Noureddine et nos enfants) avons posé nos valises ici, un ancien domaine viticole situé près de l’étang de Thau. Depuis, nous restaurons ce lieu avec patience, au rythme des saisons.
  
  Autrefois couvert de vignes, le terrain est devenu un grand jardin verdoyant et ombragé. Poules, lapins et ânes y vivent en liberté. Nous avons planté des arbres fruitiers, et notre potager nous nourrit à la belle saison. Toute l’année, surtout en été, nous aimons recevoir famille et amis autour de la piscine et de la cuisine extérieure.
  
  Notre domaine fait 7 hectares, à 2 km de Mèze, entre Montpellier et Béziers. L’étang est tout proche, connu pour ses huîtres, ses moules et sa nature.
  
  Nous accueillons 1 à 3 volontaires Workaway à la fois. Ils partagent le quotidien de la famille et logent au 2ᵉ étage de la maison, dans des chambres individuelles.En échange du gîte et du couvert, nous demandons environ 4 à 5 heures d’aide par jour, 5 jours par semaine. Le séjour minimum est de deux semaines, pour prendre le temps de se connaître et de s’installer dans le rythme du lieu.
  
  Nous vivons au rythme des saisons :
  En hiver et au printemps : petits travaux, entretien, bricolage.
  En été : jardin, soin des animaux, récoltes de légumes.
  C’est un endroit vivant et convivial. On aime partager un verre en fin de journée et cuisiner des plats du sud.
  
  Nous parlons français, anglais et arabe couramment, et nous nous débrouillons en espagnol, portugais et italien.
  Si vous souhaitez progresser en français, c’est un cadre idéal : nous prenons le temps de vous accompagner et de vous aider à pratiquer chaque jour.

  We love spending our days gardening, tinkering, and caring for animals.
  Noureddine, who is passionate about animals, takes loving care of his donkeys, rabbits, and chickens every day. Najat, for her part, enthusiastically devotes herself to decorating, gardening, and art.
  At the farmhouse, there's always something to do: mowing the grass, feeding the animals, repairing a fence or a stone wall... We would love to welcome you to share our daily life, tinker together, and meet wonderful people in this idyllic setting.

  Nous aimons passer nos journées à jardiner, bricoler et prendre soin des animaux.
  Noureddine, passionné par les animaux, s’occupe chaque jour avec attention de ses ânes, lapins et poules. Najat, quant à elle, se consacre avec enthousiasme à la décoration, au jardinage et à l’art.
  Au mas, il y a toujours quelque chose à faire : tondre l’herbe, nourrir les animaux, réparer une clôture, monter un mur en pierre… Nous serions ravis de vous accueillir pour partager notre quotidien, bricoler ensemble et faire de belles rencontres dans ce cadre de vie idyllique.

  You will be staying on the top floor of the main house, which has private bedrooms, a shared bathroom, and a beautiful terrace. Meals will generally be taken together, in the house in winter and in the summer kitchen during the summer.

  Nature and outdoor recreation lovers will be spoiled for choice! Among the many possibilities: hiking, walks around the Thau lagoon, swimming on the beaches of Mèze, Sète, Frontignan, or Marseillan, not to mention exploring natural sites like Lake Salagou. In summer, the small town of Mèze is particularly pleasant, offering a peaceful atmosphere by the lagoon.
  
  To make getting around easier, we provide bicycles for your use. You can also reach Sète and Montpellier by bus from Mèze (approximately a 30-minute journey).

  Amoureux de nature et de loisirs en plein air, vous aurez l’embarras du choix ! Parmi les nombreuses possibilités : randonnées, balades autour de l’étang de Thau, baignades sur les plages de Mèze, Sète, Frontignan ou Marseillan, sans oublier la découverte de sites naturels comme le lac du Salagou. En été, la petite ville de Mèze est particulièrement agréable, offrant une atmosphère paisible au bord de l’étang.
  
  Pour faciliter vos déplacements, nous mettons un vélo à votre disposition. Vous pourrez également rejoindre Sète et Montpellier en bus depuis Mèze (environ 30 minutes de trajet).
