  We are a couple in our 50’s, who after a hectic life in London running a successful restaurant and hairdressing salons decided during Covid to relocate to SW France, situated an hour and 15 minutes from Toulouse and Bergerac airports.
  
  We live here with my Mum (she has her own apartment in a barn), our two very lively dogs and a barn cat.
  
  We have various buildings and lots of land. We are currently kept busy renovating the farmhouse, managing the forests, building up firewood stocks, working in the vegetable garden and just general upkeep on a property of this size.
  
  We work hard and the work is physical but once it’s done you will be able to relax in our beautiful surroundings, the walks from the door are numerous and wonderful or you can chill by the pool, in the hot tub or the hammock.
  
  We are very rural with nothing in walking distance, so if you don’t have a car then you will be here enjoying the nature, pool, and peace and quiet. The nearest village is 12 minutes drive away with the basics and a market every Saturday.
  
  We cook every day and would welcome help with that - we eat meat and fish.
  
  We are non-smokers, if you smoke we request it is outside.
  
  I speak English and some French, my husband speaks English and Danish.
  
  We are looking forward to welcoming people who are like-minded and have a good attitude and commitment to the task they undertake and can then have time to appreciate the wonderful location.

  Was ist das?

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Our Workaways will be immersed in Rural French life as we are pretty remote.
  
  We will teach our workaways about growing veg as we have a large vegetable garden and greenhouse. We also have an extensive workshop where we carry out carpentry, metal tasks, bicycle repairs, forestry tasks etc.

  Arbeit

  The main tasks we need help with now are the removal, sanding, small repairs and painting of the shutters on the main house.
  
  Sanding in the Farmhouse (there is a lot!).
  
  Gardening, which is mainly weeding, mowing and hedge trimming.

  Unterkunft

  Accommodation is in our house which is big!
  
  We have a small ensuite room (double bed) suitable for one person or a larger double room with a separate bathroom downstairs.
  
  We have fast WiFi and English TV!!
  
  There is a library with sofas and easy chairs where you can relax or eat if you fancy a night away from the family.
  
  Meals will be provided.
  Breakfast will be help yourself.
  Lunch is around 2pm each day and depending on the tasks being carried out / temperature etc. it is either a quick grab and go or a more leisurely lunch.
  Supper is between 8pm and 9pm and is taken together - we eat pretty healthily and cook every day, which includes meat and fish.
