  Hello,
  My name is Jackie, my husbands name is Chris and we have 2 children Harper aged 5 and Cody aged 1. We are looking for an au pair to help with the childrens day to day.
  We live in the Beara Peninsula on the Wild Atlantic way in a town called Castletownbere. We are a 15 minute ferry ride to Bere Island. We are a 30 minute bus ride from Dursey Island which has the only cable car in Ireland

  My husband enjoys playing golf. I like to keep active with local fitness classes and walking. We like to go on family drives to different areas. Harper is currently doing Irish dancing and gymnastics and will hopefully be starting to play football soon.
  
  We have many cultural sites around our area and a massive history to our area.
  We see Workaway as much more than simply having someone stay with us to help out. For us, it's about sharing our home, family life and Irish culture while getting to know someone from a different part of the world.
  We would love for our Workawayer to feel like part of the family during their stay rather than simply a guest. We will include them in our day-to-day family life, share meals together, chat and spend time getting to know each other. We would be happy to show them around our local area and introduce them to some of the places, traditions and experiences that make Ireland special.
  We can share our knowledge of Irish culture, food, family life and what it's like to live in Ireland. We would also love to learn from our Workawayer — about their home country, culture, traditions, food, language, travel experiences and way of life. We think this exchange of different perspectives is one of the most exciting parts of Workaway.
  We hope our Workawayer will leave with a genuine experience of Irish family life, some great memories and hopefully friendships that continue after they leave. At the same time, we're excited about welcoming someone new into our home and learning from their experiences and culture.
  We are looking for someone friendly, respectful, open-minded and happy to become part of our family for the duration of their stay. We want the experience to be enjoyable and worthwhile for everyone, with a good balance between helping out and having time to explore and enjoy Ireland.

  Basic tasks such as light housework, childrens meals, childrens activities, childrens school work. Basic hours of 8 to 5 wednesday thursday and friday.

  Unterkunft

  We live in a town with approx 3000 people. We live 2km outside the town, beside a golf club. You will have your own en suite room with television and wifi and double bed.
  
  We are happy to share meals with our Workawayer, particularly dinner, as we feel sitting down and enjoying a meal together is a lovely part of the cultural exchange. We would be happy to introduce you to some of our favourite Irish meals and enjoy getting to know you over dinner.
  We also understand that everyone has different tastes and routines, so our Workawayer will have access to food and ingredients in our home to prepare their own meals whenever they wish. We will make sure there is a good selection of food available and can discuss any dietary requirements or preferences in advance.
  We hope meals will be a relaxed balance of eating together as a family and giving our Workawayer the freedom to cook for themselves when they prefer

  We are a young vibrant close family. We would welcome you into our family but we also like our own family time. We have local buses that travel to bigger towns and cities. You would have to independently explore the area on our time off.
