I run a saddle import and retail business from home while my husband is retired from running a manufacturing company. In the past, I have also owned and operated a fitness studio. Among many other interests, I am a trained Hoof Care Specialist (retired now and only working on my own horses), have studied various Human and Equine Bodywork modalities over the years, including the Masterson Method, and I am also interested in Natural Horsemanship Training Methods. Another 'hobby' is breeding and raising my small herd of Nubian goats for milk and chees, and we usually have our own chickens for eggs and meat, as well a large vegetable garden in the summer. Our 3 grown daughters all live on their own. Both my husband and I love our country living, and we enjoy travelling and the outdoors. Update for 2026: For health resons, I currently only have my horses and our 2 dogs.

Rural environment of 60 acres in the beautiful Mulmur hills within an hour drive from Toronto or the waters of Georgian Bay. We offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere of typical Canadian country living, with a little European twist of Swiss and German. We will share our knowledge and love of our country and our modern and self sufficient home. With all tasks being shared, there is opportunity to learn about growing and processing vegetables, as well as animal husbandry, which includes caring for our animals (Currently, for 2026, we have no milking goats). This is a perfect place to experience active living in a natural setting.

Arbeit
General help around a modern hobby horse farm with 3 horses and a mini, a couple of milking goats, chickens, 2 dogs and a barn cat. Must be comfortable handling animals as tasks include animal care and cleaning. Experience around horses would be preferred but is not a necessity. General physical help may include barn tasks like feeding the animals, cleaning stalls, barn, and the paddocks, grass cutting, and some gardening, all depending on the season, as well as help in and around the house. A driver's license is necessary if you want to rent a car to get around as we do not have public transportation nearby.

Lots of sightseeing opportunities - Toronto (1+ hrs), Waterfront Collingwood or Barrie (35 mins), Niagara Falls (2+ hrs), Mennonite Markets; Provincial Parks, Camping, Golfing, Hiking and Mountain Biking and Skiing all close by. A car would be required for most excursions as public transportations is very limited.
