Beschreibung
We are a German-Mexican family that lives in the north of the state of Puebla more than 30 years. I , Armin agricultural engineer 68 and my wife Isabel, social worker. We run a small organic farm with sheep farming and ecotourism.
We try to produce a great portion of the food we consume, bake bread, smoked meat and fish, preserve fruit and vegetables , and possibly of its sells to improve our income. We enjoy great talks and interchanging ideas and experiences and getting know different cultures. -

The helping hours are flexible. There are no special skills required , but it would be good if you like animals, because in addition to the sheep we have have pigs, chickens, rabbits, dogs, cats and others.

In the city of Chignahuapan 6 km away there is a hospital, bank, supermarket , internet and everything that such a Mexican city hast to offer. Our area is not affected by the drug war in the north and here you can enjoy the live in peace. The Rancho is located in the Sierra Madre at 2300 m altitude and the climate is rather cool, for Mexican standards. Chignahuapan and the neighbor town Zacatlan were „Pueblo magico " declared to promote tourism as the area offers many attractions and the little Indian towns located in the Sierra Madre mountains have their own charm .

Isabel und Armin gaben uns die Möglichkeit für 4 Wochen auf ihrer Farm mitzuhelfen. Es war eine wunderbare Zeit, in der wir uns sehr wohl fühlten, sowohl bei der Arbeit als auch in der Freizeit. We spend two weeks with Armin and Isabel and we wish we could have stayed longer! The rancho is just amazing with lots of animals, a beautiful landscape and the work was really fun. Me quede en casa de Isabel y Armin por 1 mes, son personas con las que es muy facil entablar una conversación, durante mi estadía ayudé con los animales y también en el huerto de la casa. Me sentí como en familia con Armin y Isabell. El rancho esta grande y muy bonito y el alrededor esta fantastico, muy tranquilo. hay montes y cascadas.
Armin y Isabel son muy buena gente, easy going y el trabajo no fue muy duro. hizimos que era necesario, por ejemplo pintar la pared, trabajar en el huerto.

It was awesome to help Isabel and Armin at their lovely farm in the state of Puebla by Chignahuapan :)
It is a great place to do outdoor work, Isabel is a great cook and they are very nice and interesting people.
The accomodation is very cosy and nice.

I stayed on the farm for one week - one amazing week. Armin and Isabel are superkind, superhospital, you can't ask for better hosts :) On the farm are plenty of animals, the surrounding is pure beauty. I totally recommend this experience.
