Nico is a biologist, specialized in botany, former manager of agricultural development projects and currently in agricultural training. Claire is a geographer, formerly specialized in access to water and emergency sanitation and disaster risk management, and now a teacher. We speak French, English, Spanish, Flemish (a little!). We eat organic and local as much as possible but are not vegetarians (but possibility of having vegetarian meals here).
Nico est biologiste, spécialisé en botanique, ancien responsable de projets de développement agricole et actuellement en formation agricole. Claire est géographe, anciennement spécialisée dans l'accès à l'eau et à l'assainissement d'urgence et la gestion des risques de désastres et aujourd'hui enseignante. Nous parlons français, anglais, espagnol, flamand (un peu!). Nous mangeons bio et local au maximum mais ne sommes pas végétariens (mais possibilité d'avoir des repas végétariens ici).

Arbeit
We are Claire and Nico and have been living with our three little boys in the house of our dreams for almost 6 years after more than 15 years of travel and adventures in expatriation (in humanitarian work and development). We lead a simple life in the mountains but very well surrounded and in touch with the great people around us. We have cats, dogs, three donkeys, a goat, sheep and a few chickens and ducks and a permaculture vegetable garden. Our land of 10 hectares is for a large part in the state of steep woods and wasteland but little by little we are regaining land and meadows. The work can be as much brush cutting, fencing, or helping with the renovation of barns, painting, caring for animals, gardening etc...
Nous sommes Claire et Nico et vivons avec nos trois petits garçons dans la maison de nos rêves depuis près de 6 ans après plus de 15 ans de voyages et d'aventures en expatriation (dans l'humanitaire et le développement). Nous menons une vie simple à la montagne mais très bien entourés et en lien avec les gens supers que nous avons autour de nous. Nous avons des chats, des chiens, trois ânes, une chèvre, des moutons et quelques poules et canards et un potager en permaculture. Notre terrain de 10 hectares est pour une grande partie à l'état de bois pentus et de friches mais petit à petit nous regagnons du terrain et des prés. Le travail peut être autant du débroussaillage, clôtures, ou aide à la rénovation de granges, peintures, soin aux animaux, jardinage etc...
