Beschreibung
Dear workawayer, are you looking for a calm and peaceful place, where you can connect with nature, yourself and us? Then this could be the place for you!
We are Bastian and Diana (both 40y) with our daughter Jule (9y). Bastian is a creative person and pastor, who does hiking, bouldering and jugum (kind of yoga) and likes sitting around a campfire. Diana is caring for the family's home and likes going to the gym, writing to-do-lists, enjoying healthy meals and sitting in the silence. Jule is a happy child, who likes to eat chocolate and ice-cream, to cuddle, to swim and practicing ballet. Four goats and a cat are belonging to our family, too.
We live at the rural countryside in the north-east of Baden-Württemberg next to the Bavarian border. Our home is surrounded by a big orchard, where a lot of tasks are to be done, but we also enjoy the fruits of our garden as well as the beautiful view and peaceful atmosphere. From here you can undertake wonderful walks in the nature or visit big cities within an hour drive like Nuremberg or Stuttgart. Nearby are Rothenburg ob der Tauber or other small ancient cities.
If you choose to stay with us, there are depending on the season different tasks to do (details see below). But you always have the possibility to help shape the tasks by your own talents and character. We would like to get to know and learn from each other. If you like to, you could always practice German with us.Arten von Hilfe und Lernmöglichkeiten

You would live with us as a pastor's family. Life and help are tied together.
If you want to learn German you can practice your skill in everyday life.
You also can get in contact with locals and learn a lot about "Hohenlohe" and the franconian culture.
We can teach you how to handle goats and what we already learned how to respect and live with nature.
We are looking forward to get to know other people with their own stories from Germany or all around the world.
We welcome workawayers by their own, also a parent with child is warmly welcome, as well as a pair/couple. Notice we only have one bed with two mattresses.Projekte mit Kindern
Dieses Projekt schließt möglicherweise den Umgang mit Kindern ein. Mehr Informationen findest du in unseren Verhaltensregeln und Tipps hier.
Arbeit
Help us to cultivate and enjoy the fruits and beautiful landscape of our garden. We'd like to bring a spirit of permaculture into our garden.
Our life as a pastor's family is different each day as well as your tasks will be. If you like to participate in different tasks than you are warmly welcomed. Most of the tasks refers to the orchard like harvesting the fruits, weeding, mowing the lawn with a lawn tractor, gardening and producing jam or juice etc. We also have some outdoor tasks to be done like a fence for the goats and cook together the meals that we enjoy afterwards. Some of the tasks are constantly to be done, others depend on the season:
- April - June: Redesigning the flower and vegetable gardens, mowing the lawn, weeding, harvesting berries or elder blossoms, recreating the terrace and a chill area under the hazelnut tree.
- July / August: Working in the garden and weeding.
- September/October: Harvesting the wild herbs and fruit trees and producing jam and juice.
- November - March: Cutting the trees and bushes, doing a creative things inside the house.
Most of the tasks can be done alone, but we will also help together on some things. We are looking forward to learn with you by doing and make new experiences. If you want you can join in our local church. And if you have further questions about the work or stay, don't hesitate to write us a message.Gesprochene Sprachen
