  Beschreibung

  We are Christophe and Monique, we live in a nice house 5 minutes walk away from the beach in Brest, France. Christophe is retired and Monique is an early-childhood educator. We have two daughters of 25 and 22 years old and Jazz, the dog ! ;)
  
  We subscribed to workaway because our daughter went to travel around Europe with this platform and she convinced us while telling us her wonderful adventures! We thought it could be nice to have some help at the house while having a cultural exchange. We are very rooted in our region, Brittany, since our families lives there for many generations, and we always love to share our knowledge of Brittany's and French culture, as well as to show good beaches spots. This is a nice opportunity if you want to explore Brittany's region and spend a lot of time in nature.
  
  We are new in workaway so maybe 1 week stays are better to begin, and we can only host 1 helper at the time.
  We can speak a little english but we are not very fluent, so a french speaker would be appreciated. If you are learning french we would be happy to help you.
  
  We are more specifically searching for help between the 10 and 20 of August 2023, so if you are available at this dates, don't hesitate to send us a message ! :)

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  We would be happy to share with you our knowledge of Brittany's region. Christophe worked for 40 years for the French Navy and he can make you a guided tour of Brest maritime history. We can also show you the best spots for hiking, swimming, kayking... in Brittany - the region has some of the most magnificent beaches in France. Moreover, we can help with you in French if you are trying to learn this language.

  Arbeit

  We would need some help in the garden (trim hedges, cut the grass, maintain the vegetable garden...), and occasionally around the house (cleaning, fixing things, cooking...). We have a nice dog, Jazz, so if you are comfortable with dogs one task could also be to walk him around the coast path.
  Also, Christophe's time is mostly taken by apiculture, so if you want to learn more about apiculture you could help him in his work.

  Unterkunft

  We live in a house in the suburbs of Brest, France, in a nice neighborhood. We are located 5 minute by walk from the beach and from the coast path, were you can do nice hikes. We are 15 minutes by car from the city center of Brest and 35 minutes in public transportation. You could also possibly use our bikes.
  You would be accommodated in our guest room, in the first floor (all other rooms are upstairs), with your own private bathroom.
