  About our area and our family
  
  We live in Sant Pere de Ribes, a lovely town in Catalonia, close to the Mediterranean coast and surrounded by nature. We are very well located, between the beautiful beaches of Sitges and Vilanova i la Geltrú and not far from Barcelona, so there are many opportunities to explore, enjoy the beach, discover Catalan culture and visit different places during your free time.
  
  We love living here because we have the best of both worlds: a peaceful and family-friendly environment, but with the beach, towns, cultural activities and Barcelona all within easy reach. There are also many opportunities for outdoor activities, cycling, walking and enjoying the Mediterranean lifestyle.
  
  We are a family of five: two parents and our three children, aged 8, 11 and 13. We are an open, friendly and welcoming family and we really enjoy meeting people from different countries and cultures.
  
  We have already shared our home with people from different parts of the world, so we are used to welcoming new people into our family life. We enjoy sharing meals, conversations, experiences and everyday moments together.
  
  We hope that staying with us will allow you not only to discover Catalonia, but also to experience what everyday life in a Catalan family is really like. And, of course, we would love to learn about your culture, your country and your way of life too!
  
  We would be happy to help you discover the area, recommend places to visit and make you feel at home during your stay with us. ❤️

  We believe that the best part of a Workaway experience is sharing everyday life and learning from each other.
  
  By staying with our family, you will have the opportunity to experience everyday life in Catalonia and discover our culture, traditions, food and way of life from the inside.
  
  We would love to share our Catalan culture with you, introduce you to our local traditions, typical food and celebrations, and show you some of our favourite places around Sant Pere de Ribes, Sitges, Vilanova i la Geltrú and the surrounding area.
  
  You will also have the opportunity to practise and improve your Spanish and, if you are interested, learn some Catalan. In return, we would love you to share your language, culture, traditions, music, food and experiences with us and especially with our three children.
  
  English will naturally be part of our everyday life, giving our children the opportunity to practise the language in a relaxed and authentic way.
  
  We can share meals, cook together, go to the beach, visit local places, go for walks, play games, celebrate special occasions and simply enjoy family time together.
  
  At the same time, we understand that you will want to have your own time and explore Catalonia independently. Barcelona is easily accessible, and there are many places to discover, activities to enjoy and people to meet.
  
  We hope that by the end of your stay, you will not only have improved your Spanish or learnt some Catalan, but also have experienced what it is like to be part of a Catalan family and made some wonderful memories with us.

  Arbeit

  We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and who would like to become part of our family and share our everyday life.
  
  Our main goal is to offer our three children (8, 11 and 13 years old) a natural and enjoyable English-speaking environment. We would love the Workawayer to speak English with them during everyday activities, play games, read, chat, do creative activities, go to the park or simply spend time together.
  
  The help with the children could include accompanying them during their daily routines, playing with them, helping them with simple activities, preparing things together or occasionally accompanying them to activities.
  
  We may also appreciate some light help with normal family life, such as helping to tidy up after meals, keeping the children's areas organised or helping with simple household tasks. We are not looking for someone to do the housework for us, but rather someone who is happy to participate in everyday family life.
  
  Sharing our everyday life
  
  We would like to do things together whenever possible. We can share meals, play with the children, go for walks, visit places around Catalonia, enjoy the beach, cook together and take part in family activities.
  
  We are also very interested in learning from our Workawayer. We would love to discover their country, culture, traditions, food and language, while sharing our Catalan culture and way of life with them.
  
  We are a flexible family and we understand that the Workawayer will also want to explore Catalonia, meet people and have their own free time. We will therefore agree the schedule together in advance, respecting the agreed days and hours and making sure that there is a good balance between helping the family and enjoying their own experience.
  
  For us, the most important thing is that this is a genuine cultural and language exchange and that the Workawayer feels like a welcome member of our family.
  
  We are looking for someone responsible, kind, patient, independent and, above all, someone who enjoys children and is happy to communicate with them in English. ❤️

  Unterkunft

  We live in a large, comfortable family home in Sant Pere de Ribes, and we are happy to offer our Workawayer a private bedroom where they can have their own personal space and privacy.
  
  The bathroom will be shared with another young woman from Brazil who is currently living with us. The kitchen and the other common areas of the house are shared with the whole family.
  
  Our home is a very welcoming and international space, and we enjoy having people from different countries living with us. We want everyone to feel comfortable, respected and at home.
  
  The Workawayer will be able to use all the common areas of the house, which are kept clean, tidy and in good condition. We have plenty of space to relax, read, study, work or simply enjoy some free time.
  
  Meals
  
  The kitchen is shared, and meals can be enjoyed together with the family or independently. We are very flexible and there is no obligation to eat together every day. We believe it is important that everyone can organise their own time and feel comfortable.
  
  Food and basic meals will be provided as part of the exchange. We would appreciate someone who is comfortable preparing simple everyday meals for themselves and, when appropriate, sharing some cooking with the family.
  
  We also love discovering food from different countries, so we would be very happy if you wanted to cook a typical dish from your country and share it with us!
  
  Our home is a place where different cultures come together, and we hope you will feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. ❤️

  We live in Sant Pere de Ribes, in a privileged location in Catalonia, with excellent public transport connections.
  
  Our home is around 5 minutes from Sitges, a beautiful and internationally well-known coastal town, famous for its beaches, atmosphere, cultural life and restaurants. Barcelona is approximately 45 minutes away, so it is very easy to visit the city during your free time.
  
  There are frequent public transport connections in the area, making it easy to travel independently to Sitges, Vilanova i la Geltrú, Barcelona and other nearby places. There are also many possibilities for enjoying the Mediterranean coast, going to the beach, walking, cycling, visiting local towns, discovering Catalan culture or simply relaxing.
  
  We want our Workawayer to have plenty of freedom during their free time. You will be welcome to explore the area independently, meet other people, travel around Catalonia or simply relax at home.
  
  Our family routine
  
  We are a family with a well-established daily routine. Both parents work, and our three children go to school and take part in different extracurricular activities during the week.
  
  Our family life is therefore quite organised, especially during school days. We appreciate punctuality and responsibility, but at the same time we are a flexible and easy-going family and we will agree the schedule and expectations together.
  
  As we share our home with other people from different countries, we believe that respect, communication, cleanliness and consideration for everyone's personal space are very important.
  
  We also expect everyone living in the house to contribute to keeping shared spaces clean and tidy and to respect the normal routines of the family.
  
  There are no complicated house rules. We simply ask for mutual respect, open communication, responsible behaviour and a willingness to be part of family life.
  
  We hope that our home will feel like a comfortable base from which you can both experience family life and discover Catalonia at your own pace. 🌊☀️
