  We have a cozy home on 5 acres on Quadra Island that is surrounded by lush rainforest, mountains, lakes and natural beauty.
  Our family is loving and kind and we looking for people that are the same. Our boys are older and live on their own now but frequently come home to spend time with us. An interest in wholesome healthy food and lifestyle as well as likeminded folks are appreciated.
  We have a very neurotic (but cute) dog, 2 cats and a flock of chickens that varies in size. Sheep and turkeys on occasion. Our home is peaceful. We love good music and family time. We eat organic food - a little meat mostly veg. Our home is scent free (other than 100% natural scents) due to health reasons this is needs to apply for anyone staying here.
  There is a large organic garden and greenhouse. Last year we had over 50 tomato plants as well as peppers, eggplants, cucumbers & basil in there as well. We grow a lot of vegetables, raspberries, blueberries, hazelnuts, garlic, lots of medicinal plants and flowers.
  We love to spend time outdoors and mountain bike, hike, paddle (we have 4 kayaks), swim in the numerous lakes, rivers and nearby beaches, play music and live a wholesome life. There are lots of outdoor activities to do. We are located minutes from the ocean and have a 40 minute walking trail through the forest to a pristine lake for swimming. There is also a chain of beautiful lakes nearby.
  We live 30 minutes away from any stores, but are surrounded by forest and natural beauty. Because we live so far away from shops/people you would need to be comfortable with your own company and in nature.
  Light social drinking but no drugs or smoking. Our home and property are beyond the fire protection district and have 100% no smoking on our property at all times.
  We would prefer to not have pets coming here, but if you have a well behaved friend that won't chase other animals then we can chat about it.

  Our home is located in a naturally beautiful part of the world. We are happy to share our skills with organic gardening, herbal medicine, woodworking, kayaking as well as our knowledge of the area. .

  Arbeit

  We are looking for help with our garden and land as well as the many projects we may be involved in at the time.
  Our cabins are being renovated and have many things to be done such as: woodwork, flooring, painting, siding, etc. We are using up-cycled materials as much as possible. One of the cabins will be completely off grid.
  We are expanding our garden area and will be building up new garden beds, hauling, weeding, and fencing. We are moving towards starting a food forest below our main garden area.
  There are endless farm chores, shared cooking, cleaning, refinishing furniture, pressure washing, fence repair... a lengthy list! There are also plans to build a mobile outdoor sauna.

  We have an unfinished cabin that could be available depending on the state of renovations or if that is the project we are working on we have a camper and tent available.
  We ask that you take care of your own meals, but do like to share meals as well.

  Was noch ...

  We are short walk to the ocean, have bikes, kayaks, and access to great hiking trails. There are no shops within walking distance - they are a 30 minute drive down a long windy dirt road. There are also very few people within walking distance so you will need to like your own company - but the people that you will find out here are pretty amazing.
  
  There are many lakes, rivers and beaches all around as well as mountains for exploring.
  
  Internet use is limited and access can be slow and spotty depending on the weather. We ask guests to use their own cellular data but we should have enough wifi to share.
  
  We live in the wilderness so we want people to know that and be comfortable with it. It is a magical place.
