Hello and welcome! I am Mohammad and I work as a Bedouin guide in the beautiful Wadi Rum desert. I have lived in Wadi Rum all of my life and I love showing people around my home here. All of us in the village are Bedouin and are proud of our way of life but I also love to meet people from different countries to learn about their culture and enjoy talking with them.
In my free time I love to drive out into the desert and enjoy the scenery there, whether talking with friends around a fire under the stars to relaxing in the shade during the hot summer months. I love having fun with all those who come to visit and hope that they are able to leave with many happy memories after staying with me, my friends and family.
We run a busy tour guiding and camp business, so there is always a lot to do! This includes helping to develop a website for those people planning to join us in Wadi Rum, responding to emails as well as helping with tours and in our desert camp. There is something for everyone here!

Wadi Rum is a small village where everybody knows each other, meaning that there are a lot of friends and my big family living here. We all stay true to the Bedouin way of life as much as possible and love to sit and converse in order to unwind when ever possible. From eating delicious Bedouin food to practicing your Arabic, there is plenty of culture to be experienced here.
A lot of the work involves helping me with my website and emails. I have a new website but i would like to improve it and this is sometimes hard as reading English can be difficult. Also, i would like help replying to messages in English. But also I sometimes would like help making tours and helping out when people have tours in the desert and stay at our camp, talking to the people and making them feel welcome, cleaning the camp.
You will have a room to sleep in at my house in the village and sometimes can stay in our permanent camp in the desert. Volunteers are provided with 3 meals per day.
From hiking, scrambling and climbing to just relaxing and taking in the vast and quiet desert, volunteers will be able to enjoy Wadi Rum the way that they want and will have plenty of time to do so!
