Beschreibung
We are looking for help this summer to maintain our organic vegetable gardens and help with two very fun children! The work will include a mix of playing with the kids, prepping meals, and helping with a green house and raised box gardens. We plan everything from salad, root crops, to cucumber and watermelons!
My husband and I have two children aged 7 and 9 and live on a beautiful ranch in BC's Cariboo region. The ranch is located 15 minutes away from the small community of Big Lake and 45 mins away from the larger community of Williams Lake (20,000 pop).
We live in a gorgeous timber frame house on a ranch with cows and horses. The property is located on a chain of lakes in a scenic valley. Leisure activities include canoeing, biking, hiking, kayaking, birding, fishing, horse riding (if experienced), and swimming. We are focused on organic food production and having fun.
So if you are needing a place to stay for a few months and love country living, we are the host for you!! If you are able to stay for 2 months, we are happy to assist you with travel to and from our home.

You will experience real Canada with us. You will see bears and moose and deer, and you will be able to paddle canoes in pristine wilderness. We are an authentic Canadian experience and you will go home with far more skills when it comes to living in the country and growing food.

Arbeit
The gardens will require daily watering, weeding and veggie harvesting. The chilcare require playing, tidying and food preparation. I work from home so am around most of the time.

Unterkunft
We have a detached guest house with two bedrooms and a three piece bathroom, and wifi. Laundry and meals will be in the main house. This accommodation is suitable for a couple or a single.

In your time off you can play around on the lake chain with a canoe or kayak. We also have several saddle horses that can be used if you have prior riding experience. We also have bikes, fishing gear, and endless space to walk. Wildlife is a part of where we live and you might deer deer, moose. Bears, coyotes, and foxes. While we live in a small area, there is usually something going on and there are several host families in our areas so finding a camp fire to have a beer and roast marshmallows on a Friday evening should be easy.
