  Welcome back to my new Host listing - Like most of us over the last 2 years we have not been able to host visitors due to Covid. It has been sometime since we were last online but are looking forward to inviting new workdays to our amazing new project here in West Cork.

  We have a very exciting opportunity to come live and work at our eco off grid cottage in West Cork Ireland.
  
  The cottage sits on 1 1/2 acres in a rural setting under the mountains. The cottage is on the Mizen Head Peninsula with some of the most beautiful sights in Ireland. You are only 5 mins (drive) to the Wild Atlantic Way and 10-15 min drive to Schull Village, Ballydehob, Durrus, Goleen and more.
  
  I am a project builder. I am always looking for new projects to build up skills and be creative. I have worked as chef, tour guide, musician, food trader, Artisan, Nomad and more. I have done a fair bit of travel as a workaway too and so I know from my experience how to provide at great opportunity for workdays to come and learn skills and develop.
  
  My partner is a Nurse part time and she loves animals and working in the outdoors. She is more of the green thumb around the place and looks after the garden and animals.
  
  I will be running the project and building most of the garden structures myself. Such as greenhouse, compost area, Bbq area, paving, rebuilding walls etc. Anyone who is handy in these areas will be a welcomed help to me.
  
  The work is labour intensive so you will need to be capable with a good work ethic.
  
  Other work will be helping Niamh in the vegetable and permaculture garden. This work will be mostly weeding, planting, repotting, pruning and more. If you have a green thumb and love being in the garden we would welcome your help in this area.
  
  We will also be setting up a solar and wind power system that will bring the cottage fully functional for off-grid living.
  
  You are only 20 mins from Bantry Town where there is a lively Friday Market as well as a host of pubs, bars and restaurants. As well as two large supermarkets.
  
  The work will consist mainly of outdoor clearing of rubble stones, digging, helping me with building works then it will be planting, growing and building for our permaculture garden.

  West Cork is one of the most vibrant parts of Ireland it has a rich culture of Artisans, musicians, crafts people and more. There are numerous festivals, markets and music nights all through the summer and beyond.
  
  You are located on Ireland's most southern tip the Mizen Head peninsula. Here you have access to the Wild Atlantic Way, numerous beaches, villages and more.
  
  The area is great for walking, cycling, surfing, kayaking etc.

  Unterkunft

  The eco cottage is completely off grid.
  
  We have a small solar setup that will provide evening lighting but will not power a laptop, charge a phone etc. We will be upgrading the system to a 5kw fully off grid system in the new year.
  
  We have gas cooking and gas hot water. The water come from rain water and is stored in vats which runs direct to the mains tap in the kitchen and bathroom. We have a large fire stove in the open plan living room Kitchen. Upstairs we have two bedrooms.
  
  You will stay in the eco cottage in our spare bedroom. You will have full access to all the cottage facilities.
