Hi!
Vestland is calling and singing water! Lihesten embraces Lifjord and hugs us all with its grandiose presence. Nestled within here is a home, a house that was build by Siris great grandparents. They had some animals and planted some fruit trees. Now we are caretakers and stewards here together with all beings living here, we are in kinship. This place gives us deep rest, coming into a state in ourselves where we can be in quality relationship to choose ways of being that is called for by place.
Our home is breathing sometimes very social sometimes in solitude.
We are Siri (mum) , Joel and Liv Nola (daughter born in 2013). (And sometimes Gus (dad), sometimes Maya (Joel’s daughter ) Our closest neighbours are Siris parents. And sometimes a dog or a cat or a friend or 3 are visiting too!
There are a wide range of practices that we play with, it is like a continuous discovery process of how we can contribute from our uniqueness into nested wholes. It is pattern creating and developmental.
Current expressions are:
home/worldschooling, clown and creative arts, music making, developmental discovery and reflection dialogues, dancing, tending the wild, rowing a wooden boat, making our home earth friendly (ie no poisons into earth!) , food foresting, foraging, deepening relationships and kinship…
Self determination and self-agency in service of earth and all of life is valued. Discovering what is your joy of contribution and magic emerging!

Bit more about the place:
We are stewards of this place for a short time until next generation takes over.. We aim to play our role to care for everything that lives here.
Lihesten, with spectacular views gives the water and soil copious amounts of minerals and protects us from some of the winds, the water connects to the Lifjord which is an arm of the Sognefjord- going into the North Sea/ Norwegian Sea. We are nested in the municipality of Hyllestad (which is 2,5 hrs north of Bergen) and the greater area of Vestland (west coast Norway).
It is rural for sure- beautiful hiking opportunities to the mountains around and also a fjord to look out on and a little boat and a kayak that we can use in the summer time...
It is good if you love nature and being in nature.. that you enjoy the beauty of birdsong and wind in the trees.. and west-coast Norway unpredictable weather - it is important that you are comfortable with your own company, can communicate your needs and make yourself feel at home so we know you have a great stay!
The main contribution that we would like at this stage is child-care, housework maintenance and work on the land.. And a likeminded friend :) ...its a bonus if you play an instrument, we have some here!
This is a place to practice a playful way of being, to be in service to the whole living system, meditate and bring joy and nourishment into the world!
Impromptu dancing and silliness may happen!
If you have handy skills we love it!
You are welcome as you are and also contribute what brings you joy.. (eventhough sometimes the tasks are mundane.. We try to figure out what you would like to do of what needs to be done)
We are all learners and in development. So perfection of anything is not expected. We do our best, reflect and look for new ways.
We could accept a family coming too..

We can offer a calm experience in nature, with beautiful waterfalls, mountains and fjords nearby.. All in walking distance. There are lamas and sheep on the farm next door also. We are a foster home for the animal rescue organisation, so we sometimes have a cat staying with us.

Arbeit
We would like help around the garden, some maintenance, some child-care, some cooking and things around the house. in general we will look after you if you look after us :) We would love if you have experience in any of these areas... We practice a gentle, attachment philosophy with our daughter - and are aiming that everyone can have their needs met - we just need to communicate clearly. This goes both ways!

You will have your own private room. Family will share a room (up to 4 beds) Also happy to negotiate hours if you supply your own food. (15 hrs pr week without food, 25 hours with food, Roughly :) If you are a family it would be best if you provided your own food.

You can get here by boat or bus from Bergen and we can pick you up from the wharf/ bus stop :)

Let me know if you are a digital nomad and what your requirements are. We use a mobile hotspot, it's good enough for my work and our use here. (Ie zoom calls and some videos) it's not suitable for gaming etc and I like to turn it of when not in use. So its possible- but depends! Please enquire!
