Stay in a house in the middle of a regenerative and agroecological farm in the great valley of Verona, Italy

  Beschreibung

  Since 2012 we're running an organic farm according to regenerative and agro-ecological principles in the great valley of Verona in the north east of Italy, connected with accomodation and hospitality services and events in an old villa settled along the Adige river. Workawayers won't be involved in farming productive activities or in buildings of the farm but rather in activities to produce vegetables, fruits or wood exclusivly for private use.
  
  The farm is located few km away from the villa and is getting greener and greener since in 2012 we've planted 10.000 trees (10 ha) to regenerate the environment, create green borders and a forest. The production is mainly local and old varieties of cereals, flour and bread. We also produce honey, potatoes, tomatoes, pumpkins and a fruit and vegetables garden for us and our guests. Products are sold on monthly local markets and in the farm hub where we plan weekly food distributions connected with cultural events.
  
  At the moment new agri-touristic and agronomic opportunities are emerging out within the edges of the forest and bushes. In addition, the diversification of the production of the farm and new touristic offers are requiring the creation of a team to complete more specific projects and help with different skills.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  We have completly changed the landscape and the rural natural environment by planting trees in the farm, appling agorecological practices, creating a natural pond and respecting nature.
  The work to achieve goals able to convince farmer to change the mainstream industrial and polluting way of farming is still long and hard. We work with trees, seeds and now also with workaway in finding people to help us make it happen.
  We're looking for a team to work with. To prove that there are many better, happier and easier possibilities to live and to use and work with the Earth, the soil and all natural resourses.
  We have skills in biology, nutrition, ecology, farming, agroforestry, woodworks in a woodlab, baking bread and pizza, gardening and beekeeping.

  Arbeit

  We're looking for a medium-long term help for basic animal care, housekeeping and mantainence of the houses and help in garden of the private house.
  
  Workaway guest will get involved in activities like cleaning and maintenance of private areas of residential houses and garden only beside the farm. They won't be involved in farming productive activities or in buildings of the farm but rather in activities to produce vegetables, fruits or wood exclusivly for private use.

  The accomodation type will be in a single/double room in the farm house with bathroom shared with us, other workers, workawayers or friends.

  We're in the middle of the north east of Italy and the nearest village has a train station.
  So It will be easy for you get in 1 hour or less to reach and visit even in one day many important cities as Verona, Venezia, Padova, Mantova, Bologna, Ferrara, Vicenza or Rovigo.
