  Beschreibung

  The Regenerative Farm is a family 2 hectare farm 90kms from the capital city of Nepal. We are working on designing a regenerative lifestyle farm where it offers volunteers to come and live the life we are living; simple, slow and safe.
  Me and my wife together with my family we live in the farm and practice different regenerative practices such as agroforestry, natural farming, organic food garden, natural building, landscaping and space design, permaculture, regenerative agriculture etc.
  Our project it to create a local economy and promote slow living and encourage youths how they can start this kind of living , to be sustainable and ecologically sound with nature. We currently have 1 full time local employe and seasonal workers as per the need. My mom and dad are also actively working in the fields.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  We are situated at a small village in dhading. We have 7-8 neighbors around our area. They are originally from here so they have a lot of cultural and traditional knowledge about the place. Me and parents also live here so they are also around to talk to. We love our culture and would love to share whatever we can share.

  Arbeit

  We are a 4 years running farm so we are always looking for new ideas to integrate in the farm. We would like help in:
  - building with natural materials such as compost pit, benches, shed, oven, fire space, dormitory house, dry toilet etc
  - agroforestry, tree plantation, create food forest
  - to learn how traditional rice is grown and be part of the whole process
  - minor landscaping such as making paths, digging water channels, rainwater harvesting tanks etc
  - to brew probiotic drinks, kombucha, fermentation, pickling
  - taking care of animals such as goats, buffalo, chickens
  - and any new ideas that can go with the farm and the community development.

  Unterkunft

  We have currently one option in the farm. We have good quality tent for accommodation. We are working on a dormitory which will be part of the work exchange. Also volunteers can also pitch their own tent.
  Food is locally sourced mostly grown in our farm. 2 meals a day. Sometimes we will have to cook ourselves.

  Was noch ...

  There are buses coming from kathmandu to dhading every other hour. It usually takes 3 hours to get to the farm. You will have to get dropped of at a bus stop (jyamire near sasha) before reaching to dhading besi. The bus stop (jyamire near sasha) is 5 km away from the farm. You can hike from there which is one hour or call a ride sharing app whose number will be sticked in the bus stop shed.
  We are a family farm so people who likes solitude, less people, loves working with soil should apply. We are not party people so we dont encourage loud music, party and drugs. We want people to really come to learn the process of living and doing with us.
