  A a magical little paradise about 1 hectare situated in an ideal location just a 10 minute walk from the beautiful village of Vilcabamba. We are next to a river fed directly from Podocarpus National Park. We have a bunch of pet projects under development (we are building a pyramid and a treehouse, taking care of chickens, looking into add fish!) and general maintenance. This is a nice place for you to work on more creative or experimental projects or just pitch in with some minor day to day work and have a nice base camp to explore your time near Vilcabamba.

  You can learn things here at a relaxed pace. There are no heavy demands, it is not an immense property. You can take a more leisurely pace in incorporating yourself to the Vilcabamba way of life. Slow and steady, not work work work everyday for lots of hours. We value creative ingenuity and outside the box thinkers who can bring their own magic into the space and leave it better for those in the future.

  Arbeit

  We are looking for those with building, carpentry, plumbing, handy man or artistic design skills. We are also looking for more creative types who can help with improving the vision of the property or who may have other unique skills that they can help out with. Can you take care of our chickens? Do you know any thing about supporting a small scale fish farm? Can you teach yoga or some healing arts (massage, tai chi etc) from this space and hold events? Do you have skills in permaculture or managing a small garden? All these skills could be useful. But you can learn too and teach us!

  Unterkunft

  We have a few tents setup on the property with an outdoor shower and bathroom (still a work in progress right now!)We finished the outdoor Kitchen&Full bathroom/shower,also have a Composting Toilet for the busy times or mornings. We have a full outdoor communal kitchen with gas stove and sink for your use. There is also a treehouse that is soon going to be under construction that may be available. Additional guest houses (casitas) or extensions to the existing two large buildings may be places you can sleep if they are free!
  
  Breakfast and lunch can be provided if you'd like. Usually fresh fruit (bananas, citrus) from the garden, or smoothies and soups. All organic and fresh! Our own Organic Shade grown Coffee under our Banana,and Citrus Grove, we have several varieties of Chickens and 3 Pet Ducks with 2 new Baby Ducks, 100 plus TALAPIA

  We are the only place on workaway that is located within the heart of the magical village of Vilcabamba but still far enough for peace and quiet. You will love our location because it allows you to soak in the town feel, get foods, supplies, or go on any of the hikes or Biking or horse back riding opportunities just minutes from the Casa. We are also close to RumiWilco nature preserve.
  Buses or taxis run to Loja for $1.25-2 every half hour if you want to go to a bigger city during your time off.
