  WE ARE THE VOICE OF THE VOICELESS
  
  We are an association of animal activists and veterinarians who have made it their goal to give animals on Koh Chang a voice. The fight against the overpopulation of unwanted street dogs and cats has top priority. Divided Into 2 Groups.
  
  Our teams are supervised by our Veterinarian.
  
  Our Streetwork Team that feeds the hungy dogs on the street and bring them for spaying (our main task)
  
  Our Team Lead by Agnieszka is the Place Where Your Adventure with Our Volunteer Project Will Begin:
  
  This is an extraordinary place that can not be described in one word. Fully functions:
  - Care for animals that simply do not survive on the street (these are most often old dogs, with chronic diseases, blind, paralyzed etc)
  - if possible, it provides support in caring for the animal until it recovers - these are often skin diseases that take months to heal, or a long convalescence after complicated surgical procedures
  - SOCIALIZATION OF ANIMALS-
  because street animals are most often very scared and shy, we try to they can take an active part in the life of our volunteers:
  living with them in a room, they are with them when they carry out works and projects, but also accompany us in our private life: they go to shops, visit the beach
  - we always try to involve our pupils - we try to make sure that the animals are not afraid of sounds and movements of the environment
  
  At present, there are 22 adult dogs. Some animals are prepared for adoptions , some are temporarily and some are permanently with as.
  
  The centre is located in a close-near (5 min drive) from the port city Klong Son in which you can find shops like 7/11 or mini bigC, local street food and fruits stands. The beach is 7 minutes with a scooter. A river and a waterfall located in the nearby. The place of our centre was carefully selected - from a distance from tourist attractions, nightlife and a town. It is surrounded by mountains, fruit farms and calm trees-it’s OASIS.

  Arbeit

  REQUIREMENTS:
  -age 25+
  -"morning person”
  - we do not tolerate alcohol in our place, any drugs or mood altering substances
  -we expect emotionally stable people.
  -minimum 3 weeks volunteering commitment (If you would like to stay with us for more than 3 weeks, we can discuss this situation after 2 weeks of volunteering)
  
  
  WE NEED YOUR HELP WITH
  -daily care of dogs, which are mostly in need, which results from the specificity of our place
  - feeding
  -administration of drugs usually twice a day, or more often
  -bathing dogs (also medical baths sometimes)
  - socialising
  -playing with doggies
  - walking around or taking our doggies to the beach
  -cleaning
  -for calming down barking dogs during the night too
  
  We work in two shifts 8-13 and 15-20
  
  We will appreciate any other kind of help like help in our big beautiful garden, or social media, minor repairs, etc
  
  Because we focus on team work, but we appreciate individuality very much, we try to adjust the work in such a way that it is commensurate with the possibilities and skills.

  ACCOMODATIONS & COMMON AREA
  
  Accomodations:
  
  Three rooms are prepared for volunteers:
  
  Room 1: air conditioning, living and space area, wardrobe, private bathroom with hot water, one double bed
  
  Room 2: air conditioning, living and space area, wardrobe, shared bathroom with hot water, three single beds
  
  Room 3/ office room, a double sofa bed , air conditioning, wardrobe, shared bathroom with hot water
  
  Since most people travel alone, you may be asked to share a room with another volunteer
  
  Common area:
  
  *Fully equipped kitchen - refrigerator, microwave, stove and baking utensils, blender, cookbooks
  
  *Living area-big table with chairs, lights, sofa-meeting place of everybody
  
  
  * Garden-we have a large green area divided into sections, where there are fruit trees such as mangosteen, mango , long Kong, longans, flower bushes and other fruits such as papaya and banana trees.
  
  WHAT WE OFFER IN EXCHANGE
  *Free accomodations
  *Fully and even better equipped kitchen - refrigerator, microwave, stove and baking utensils, blender, cookbooks ...
  *unlimited internet
  * in accordance with workaway guidelines, for volunteers helping 5 hours a day, five days a week, it offers meals in the form of basic products to prepare 3 meals a day.
  
  However, we suggest exchanging the food option (food in Thailand is not expensive) for the use of our motorbikes (on Koh Chang it is the most convenient means of transport), the possibility of using our washing machine with hot water and cleaning products, and cooking lessons for Thai dishes. We would like to ask you for your support and to consider our offer

  Free use of motorcycle and washing machine. (gasoline which is very cheap you have to pay yourselfe)

  in your free time, we recommend exploring the area. nature on Koh Chang island is amazing due to the unique microclimate. we have on the island, waterfalls, mangroves, empty beaches, places for snorkeling and diving with shipwrecks.
