Beschreibung
Hello there! We are two guys, age 50 and 60 y.o. living outside Trysil, a place called Jota, 618 masl. Together with us are a lot of really nice dogs, a mix of Scandinavian hounds and husky type. Our place is remote and wild animals of different types live close to our site. In our surroundings there are wolverine, lynx, wolf and bear, but they are rarely seen. But more often we actually can see moose, deer, rabbit and other species. Our purpose and goal is creating an excellent sleddog racingteam.
All our dogs are our own, the kennel is not for paid stays! Both of us work fulltime in the Municipality. Most of our sparetime is spend with our dogs and working on the property or taking the dogs out for training or recovery. Due to the number of dogs it demands good routines and passion for it. Cleaning the dog yards several times during the day is not the most exciting thing, but you also get to know the dogs well doing this. We try to live healthy by working out and eating healthy as well. We hope to get in touch with someone that could see them selves in this kind of place. You must be independent and the work is a bit physical. We prefer workawayers that stay a longer period of time due to consistency and learning the routines and get to know each of the dogs. If you are interested, but not sure, please just send us a message, and we will figure it out!
Best regards
Jo & Kenneth

Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten
Exploring nature, Norwegian lifestyle, local food and cooking, language, Trysil is a center of tourism. Learning how to handle a lot of dogs.

Arbeit
Daily dogcaring, cleaning the area, making sure they have water, dry houses, feeding, socializing puppies, all that comes along running a dog kennel including training. The total number of dogs is about 30-40. The young dogs need to learn discipline and good behaviour. Everything in order to prepare them to be a sleddog. All in a secure way and with training before handing over responsibilty. If you like doing practical things, we are sure you can find something that suits you.
