  Are you looking for a meaningful way to live, learn, and contribute to a project centered on community, spirituality, and education? We are a family living in a beautiful Portuguese village, working on building a creative and conscious way of life, and we are looking for a kind, responsible, and engaged person to join us as a live-in helper.
  
  What We Need Help With:
  Childcare – Spending time with our children, playing, reading, and helping with daily routines.
  Housekeeping – Cooking, cleaning, and general household support to help keep things running smoothly.
  Community Building (Optional, Based on Your Interests) – If you’re interested, you can also take part in our efforts to build a vibrant and engaged community. This could include hosting gatherings, fostering dialogue, supporting social initiatives, and helping integrate music, spiritual education, and creative expression into the village and the wider region.
  What This Project Is (And What It’s Not)
  Many people imagine "community projects" as living on a farm, growing food, and doing physical labor. This is not that. We live in an existing village, working with the people and structures already here, creating transformation from within. This means engaging with local culture, social initiatives, and shared experiences, rather than isolating ourselves from the wider world.
  
  We are in the early stages of this journey, and this is an opportunity to be part of something new—helping to shape a vision of community that is deeply integrated, meaningful, and connected to the people around us.

  Preferably someone who can stay at least 3 weeks (longer stays are ideal!).

  About Our Family
  We are a multicultural family creating a life that blends community, creativity, and conscious living.
  
  Alexander is deeply involved in spiritual education, music, and facilitation, working to inspire personal and social transformation through his projects. He thrives on social connection and spiritual upliftment, bringing people together to explore meaningful ideas and experiences.
  Alice enjoys interior design and works online managing teams across the Spanish-speaking world. She loves creating a relaxed, beautiful environment, making spaces feel warm, harmonious, and inspiring.
  Together, we are building a way of life that balances depth and joy, combining social engagement, artistic expression, and personal growth.

  It would be great to share some of the local portuguese culture, and some of the spiritual practices and celebrations that we do from around the world including yoga, aikido, taichi, meditation, and traditional dance. You will also have the opportunity to engage in our community, musical and educational projects if you are interested.

  We would love people to help us with playing with our one year old child, helping around the house, interior design and gardening, and helping with our permaculture, musical, community and spiritual development projects.

  Unterkunft

  We have a spare room, which we will use for the volunteers, and we will try to set it up as well as possible. The bathroom will be shared with us inside the house.

  There are plenty of nature sights to go trekking, river and the mountains nearby.
  The two cities of Covilhã and Fundão are within 30 minutes by car. Covilhã is reachable by bus too.
