  Hi everyone! 😊
  
  We’re looking for lovely people to come and help us out with some maintenance and gardening on our family property in the mountains.
  
  We are Jen and Fin, Irish/Dutch siblings and good friends.
  
  A few years ago, we returned to Ireland to renovate our family property, with the hope of bringing some fun and life back to the place. With the help of friends and family, we managed to get a lot done.
  
  We started hosting on Workaway because we love having the company and meeting people from all over the world. It’s always been a great experience working together, sharing stories, learning about different cultures and making new friends along the way.
  
  I (Jen) have also done a few Workaway experiences myself in Italy and always found it a really nice way to meet people and experience a place in a different way.
  
  We’ve travelled quite a bit ourselves and love cooking, sharing recipes and exchanging stories about our experiences. Jen has a big interest in plants, gardening and design, and Fin is an artist. We’re always happy to share our skills and experiences with you, and if you have particular interests or talents, we’d love to hear about them too!
  
  The property is tucked away in one of Ireland’s most stunning mountain landscapes, surrounded by nature, with a beautiful garden and plenty of peace and quiet. We also love to socialise, go hiking and explore the area together, so there’s usually plenty of opportunity to do something fun. We are also about a 40 minute drive from the closest towns with plenty to do and see.
  
  We’re looking for mature, kind-hearted and trustworthy people who genuinely want to come, help out and enjoy the experience. And that are also ok to work independently.
  
  Ideally, we’re looking for people who can stay for at least a month.
  
  The position is exclusively for helping with my personal home and garden and does not involve any business or commercial activities.
  
  There are two options for accommodation:
  
  🌿 Private studio: For couples\friends, we have a beautiful studio, giving you your own private space surrounded by nature.
  
  🏡 Main house: Alternatively, you can stay in the main house with us and other Workawayers.
  
  We generally prefer to host mature Workawayers aged 28 and over, as we often feel we have more in common. That said, we’ve also made lovely friends from all age groups! So if you feel we could be a good match, regardless of your age, please feel free to get in touch and tell us a little about yourself.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  We provide three meals a day, and we usually enjoy sharing meals together. We eat mostly vegetarian and are ok with plantbased too. We love cooking, so if you enjoy it too, we can take turns preparing meals, sharing recipes from our different cultures and chatting over dinner.
  
  In exchange for your help, we hope to offer you a lovely experience in our cosy home, surrounded by beautiful Irish mountain scenery and good people. We often have friends and family popping in, so there’s usually a nice, friendly atmosphere.
  
  We enjoy doing fun things together, whether that’s going hiking, visiting a local festival or having dinner with friends joining us around the table. There’s also plenty of time to relax, enjoy nature and explore the area at your own pace.

  Arbeit

  We’re looking for help with a variety of light gardening and household tasks. Depending on the season and what we’re working on, there are always some new and fun projects to get involved in!
  
  Some examples include:
  
  - Weeding, planting flowers and hedges, and helping Jen get started on a new vegetable garden.
  - Light household tasks and simple home decorating.
  - Helping prepare meals and sharing cooking ideas and recipes.
  
  These are just some examples, and if you have specific skills or interests, we’d love for you to share them!
  
  Ideally, we’d love to have your help for up to 25 hours a week, with two days off to relax and explore. We’re flexible with the days, so we can organise things around what works best for everyone.
  
  We’ll be doing tasks together on projects quite a lot, but occasionally we’ll have our own work or studies to focus on. We’ll always be around if you need us, and there will often be other Workawayers to help alongside too. Of course, if you prefer helping independently sometimes, that’s absolutely fine as well! 😊
