Hi!
We are Maarten ('91) and Layla ('94), a couple from the Netherlands who love exploring new places and meeting inspiring people. We’re open-minded, enjoy being outdoors (including hiking, cycling, running, yoga, and surfing), and feel very comfortable around animals. We’re easygoing and like finding a balance between sharing time with others and doing our own thing.
We’re both interested in personal development, meditation, and mindfulness. We don’t smoke and, while we enjoy an occasional beer, we’re not heavy drinkers. We speak Dutch and English fluently, and are learning Spanish at a basic level.
Through Workaway, we hope to experience new ways of living that might inspire us to one day build a life abroad ourselves.
