Beschreibung
We, Cherike and Robert, are a dutch couple in our late fifties enjoying the peace and quiet in the beautifull Alentejo.
Our property is 8 hectares so we have a lot of work to do. Cutting trees, mowing land, digging trenches and whatever else needs to be done like painting, cooking or attending the greenhouse and outer beds.
Our land has a variety of trees and plants like Cork, medronho, Eucalyptus etc.
We have 5 cats, 2 dogs and 2 elderly horses. All need and give lots of love and attention.
Although secluded we are only 16km from the ocean and its beautiful beaches. Sao Teotonio is only 8km away.
We offer a nice place, with kitchen and private bathroom. Private and tranquil.

Our property is 8 hectares so we have a lot of stuff to do. Cutting trees, mowing land, digging trenches and whatever else needs to be done like painting, coocking or attending the greenhouse and outer beds.
Depending on your skills and willingness to take on what is needed the most we can discuss and work it out together.

Unterkunft
Private small house with kitchen and bathroom.
Full boarding. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakfast and lunch we could provide ingredients and dinner is together but can also be discussed.
We eat mostly vegetarian.

If you enjoy hicking you can go directly from our place. An inland stretch of 35Km to Saboia is at our doorstep.
Also the Rota vicentina is close by.
Spend time at the beaches.
You can join daily meditation if you like.
Unfortunately there is no public transportation. We can offer to pick you up from and bring you back to the trainstation (Saboia / Santa Clara) or from the busstation in Odemira or Sao Teotónio.
If you have your own means of transport that would be best.

The internet connection is very good and wireless connection is all around. Unfortunately the phone reception is not good at all. Calls are made through phone apps or on top of our hill.

Some of the chickens have names others do not. Fun to have around but all of them are cheeky and love grated cheese.

Every cat has his / her own spirit and personality. All of them are kind and loving.
Jacomé and Estella
Rescue Horses. Spending their last years in peace and love at our land.
Mads and Compa
Mads is a quiet peacefull dog.
He likes to hunt rabits but otherwise he is a soft and gentle dog.
Compa, with her spanish temperament steels everybodies hearts.

Both of them are social people with the right mindset.
Nothing was too much and everything was done.
Our greenhouse transformed from a newly built glasshut into a fully operational and stocked green grocery thanks to the both of them.

This was my first workaway experience and I think I have peaked early - these guys are great, location is fantastic and the work was enjoyable.
