  My name is Jonas, I am Belgian and I live in a rural sector called La Luma, in the Paillaco commune. I have two children: Amaru (3 years old) and Laura (1 year old). I studied ecological agriculture as a technician and I am convinced of the importance of agroecology for true rural development. Currently I want to start implementing a Bio factory for the production of organic inputs, an orchard sector and an agroforestry system sector. The house has a rainwater collection system and we are in the process of implementing a wetland for the purification of gray water. We are also working with the implementation of a solar energy system.
  
  The idea of this space is to become an agroecological lighthouse, that is, a place to share knowledge with farmers, local people and anyone who wants to come and learn.

  Mi nombre es Jonas, de nacionalidad Belga y vivo en un sector rural llamado La Luma, en la comuna de Paillaco. Tengo dos hijos: Amaru (3 años) y Laura (1 año). Estudié técnico en agricultura ecológica y estoy convencido de la importancia de la agroecología para un verdadero desarrollo rural. Actualmente quiero comenzar a implementar una Bio fábrica para la elaboración de insumos orgánicos, un sector de huerto y un sector de sistema agroforestal. La casa cuenta con sistema de recolección de agua lluvia y estamos en proceso de implementar un humedal para la depuración de aguas grises. También estamos trabajando con la implementación de un sistema de energía solar.
  
  La idea de este espacio es que se transforme en un faro agroecológico, es decir, un lugar para poder compartir conocimientos con agricultores, gente del lugar y toda persona que quiera venir a aprender.

  Arbeit

  The tasks to be carried out has to do with the management and implementation of the orchard, agroforestry system and the bio factory through the elaboration of organic inputs (compost, vermicompost, bocashi, etc.) Support may be necessary in the construction of infrastructure and construction of trail in the native forest.

  Unterkunft

  The house is very cozy and has a bedroom for volunteers, bathroom, hot water, internet. It is about 12 km from Paillaco, a town where you can find almost all kinds of provisions. In the house we have a vehicle to transport volunteers when necessary. The idea that the food and order of the house is a shared work.

  La casa es muy acogedora y cuenta con dormitorio para los voluntarios, baño, agua caliente, internet. Queda a unos 12 km de Paillaco, pueblo donde puede encontrar casi todo tipo de provisiones. En la casa contamos con un vehículo para trasladar a los voluntarios cuando fuese necesario.
  
  La idea que la comida y orden de la casa sea un trabajo compartido.

  Paillaco is in the center of the Los Ríos region. Paillaco is 50 min from Valdiva and about 50 min from Lago Ranco. There are many very beautiful natural places that volunteers can visit in their free time.
