  Beschreibung

  Our farm is situated in a small village in the small Hungarian Plain in the west of Hungary, close to Lake Neusiedl. Animal welfare, nature and climate protection are very important to us.
  The special thing about us is that you can learn about natural horsemanship and many animals: Our four horses (Austrian Warmblood, Czech Warmblood, Percheron, Quarter Horse) and two ponies live in perfect harmony with five cats, three dogs, seven quails, two turtles, two black pigs, storks and swallows - and us :-)
  Our two gardens are designed according to permaculture principles - crop rotation, mixed crops and, of course, organic seeds! We are adapting our fruit trees to the changing climate - try figs, persimmons, pomegranates and an almond tree. With great success so far!
  We offer a wonderful area for long rides, a swimming pool in the summer and a steam bath in the winter. Our village is calm and quiet - no traffic noise but singing birds.

  We are Austrians that moved to Hungary 15 years ago. We combine the two cultures - west and (former) east, the best of two worlds as to say :-)

  Arbeit

  As I am a single working mum with two kids your help would be very welcome - feeding the pets, gardening, cooking... In exchange, I can offer you practical experience in natural horsekeeping: How do you organise an open stable? What are the advantages of a paddock? How can you work well with hay nets? How do you keep old horses well? (I have an oldie aged 34) What role does ground work play in a horse's mental and physical well-being? How do horses live with dogs, cats and pigs?

  Unterkunft

  You have your own quiet room with a nice view to the garden and with your own bathroom with rainfall shower and steam bath. WLAN is of course available in your room. Kitchen and living room would be a shared space. The villige is the smallest in Hungary with an own mayor :-) and it is very quiet. Anyone looking for peace and quiet has come to the right place. And we have a wonderful area for long rides in the Hungarian Plain, a swimming pool in summer and a steam bath in winter.

  Public transport is available. If you can drive a car, there would be also an option to borrow ours.
  Hungary is famous for its many festivals during the year, and I am happy to recommend you some in the area!

  Dogs and cats are very welcome. We have two labrador dogs and a Dachshund mongrel. They are used to accepting new dogs in their pack as we often dog sit in the holidays.
