Beschreibung
Dear Workawayer,
We are looking for someone for housesitting and taking care of the dog, the chicken and our cat. You will be alone half of the week, the other times Gilles (if you read more, you will find out who Gilles is (;.) will join you.
We are a familie with a farm in the North of Limburg. We have 4 children, but most of the time we are with the two of us or I'm here by myself.
We love to meet new people and would like to welcome you. Our preference goes to two workawayers at the same time, to visite us for 2 or more weeks. It doesn't matter to us if you are a couple or just friends, you are welcome!
Most of the time you will be dealing with me, Esmeralda.
I'll tell you a bit about myself.
I'm enthusiastic, hospitable and I like to laugh!
I love everything that's creative, from cooking till crochet.
I love my animals and nature.
I love peace and quietness next to music and laughter.
And this is my husband Gilles:
He's calm and he loves to work in the garden en make things with his hands.
He's always in a good mood and the most friendly man you have properly ever met.
He can listen very well and has a fantastic kind of humor.
He loves nature and the chickens are his favourites! Yes that leaves me in second place (;
We have almost 2 hect. of land. There is always lots of projects in and around the garden and the house
You will only be helping in and around our private house.
There are chickens and two dogs and the shepherd puts about 30 of his sheep in the meadow from spring till fall.
We are running a bed and breakfast and hope to create a foodforest in 2025.

-A start with learning the language.
-Cook some dutch mails
-Follow our habbits in what dutch people eat for lunch.

Arbeit
Things you can expect to do when you come here.
- Gardening
- Cleaning the coop
- The dogs need to b walked, cuddled and brushed.
(We can teach about it if you're intrested in learning more about dogs: Berner sennen and labrador)
- Clean the house.
- Paint walls or put wallpaper on.
- There are also some creative activities, like painting and building, depending on what needs to be done.
- Then we like to cook and bake.
Make our own ice cream. Or make pasta with the pasta machine it’s so nice, easy and delicious.

Unterkunft
You will stay in our chalet next to the swimming pool, you will have a small garden for your own that borders the meadow.
The chalet is like a tiny house. One bedroom with a bed for two persons, a bathroom with a shower (only cold water at the moment, so for a hot shower you have to come inside our house) and toilet, a small kitchen, a refrigerator and a oven.
In the living room is a bench for chilling. You also have a dinner table. It’s a small, cozy place to stay we think.
There is a heater for the winter and an airconditioner in the summer.
From your window you sometimes see the deer in the meadow eating gras or relaxing a bit. It's very cute.
If you want to come with a campervan that's a possibility also. You will get your own space to park and be by yourself.

We live in between the small towns Afferden en Nieuw-Bergen. Our farm is next to the national park Maasduinen. Here you can make beautiful walks or bike rides. You can use our bikes if you want to.
We have a swimming pool and a sauna you can use in your spare time.
The busstop is 200 m away. You can go to lovely cities. Nijmegen en Venlo. We aspecialy like Nijmegen, because of the historical buildings and cozyness. Also you can bring your own transfer and park it here.
