I have spent a wonderful week with Margret and her family. They are quite warm-hearted, and insightful people. They are interested in Chinese culture so we talk a lot about this and exchange our opinions. It's quite an interesting cultural exchange experience. And I really hope one day they can go to China so I can host them.
During that week, I

We lived with Margret, Ben, Alwin and Mio for one full month. Our main tasks were working in the garden, sometimes in the wood and in the house. The house is being renovated so there's some work to be done. Also we fed the cats and rabbits in the morning, which was one of our favorite tasks. We took turns cooking with Margret. As we were not used
… read more to cook so "often" and for 6 to sometimes more people, when they had guests over, it was quite an exciting Experience for both of us haha. The tasks outside from the house were sometimes exhausting but worthwhile. We've learned how to make dishwashing liquid from chestnuts, how to cook more vegan stuff, how to build a permaculture garden and also got an insight into alternative forms of teaching. You can get the chance to take part in some workshops like qi gong, yodel and survival training with children. Our working hours we're from 9am till around 1- 2pm. Margret, Ben and the children are openminded, good hearted and really warmly. They are open for exchange so you can learn a lot from them if u are open for it.
We had two days off a week. You can get in the city of Vienna in half an hour with Bus and Subway. The Bus runs once in an hour so u have to plan ahead a bit. We would recommend staying here, simply because Vienna is a beautiful City and always worth a visit!
At least we want to say thank you for the Stay in the "Villa Kraus" and the Experiences we got to make at this cute but also wild place.
Only the best for you! :)

I was in Vienna by Margret's family for almost 2 full months. At first I was not used to live with kids, but thanks to the 2 joyful boys, I have a bit more experience in this domain. There were some cute animals like cats, rabbits and turtles. The usual working hours were from 9AM to 2PM, 5 days a week. I mainly helped them with gardening
… read more especially removing brambles and little trees from the ground/dirt, and sometimes cooking, general maintenance, and a bit of baby-sitting. Now my knowledge about (vegetarian) food is way more broad. I discovered tofu, seitan, poppy seed cake, fake camembert made out of cashews. Also enjoyed the homemade bread a lot. There you will have the possibility to take part in some relaxing/spiritualism activities like Kung-Fu, Qi-gong and others.
If you like to discover some places in Vienna, I recommend to you the garden of Schönbrunn and its Palmenhaus as well as the Prater (the view from the Riesenrad is nice).
Finally I want to say thank you to Ben, Margret, Alwin und Mio. Ich wünsche euch alles Gute :)
I hope that the future will be bright for the house ! Take care ! Servus !Feedback

It was a pleasent time with Magret and her family near by beautiful Wien. The piece of land where they life is just amazing and kind of surreal. I was able to be part of the survival camp with a few kids in the woods at their property when I arrived which was fun and an unique experience. This place is magic with inspiring and beautiful people
… read more stepping by. Magret took care of me when I was feeling sick which I am very grateful for. On their property is a beautiful Yurte where I was able to experience a healing massage by Petra, which was just great. This place with this people can do a lot with you when you´re open minded and ready for something different. Thank you so much for this time and all the best. Hopefully see you again. We stayed two weeks with Margret and her family. It was our first time doing workaway and now, after some more experiences, we can say that this place is quite unique. From the beyond amazing children to the homemade bread, the enchanted forest and moonrise, all the people we met... Our work mainly consisted in doing a wooden sculpture, cooking
… read more lunch and also cutting some brumbles. As there is not so much to do during the winter, we recommend having your own project to work in, because, even if cutting brumbles is not hard, it may get monotonous when you do it everyday. Living and working (it doesn't even feel like such) there was so magical that if it wasn't for Margret asking us when we wanted our days off we wouldn't even remember we had them.
Thank you so much for having us and giving us such sweet memories.Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.

I just opened a jar of wonderful marmalade Margret gave me what i was leaving and it came to my mind that I hadn't written a word for them! First of all, the lack of references might give you a wrong idea about the house - in fact, a lot of things is going on and also a lot of volunteers are staying there so apart from living in such a beautiful
… read more place, doing tasks that you would enjoy (for there's always enough to do and you would for sure find something you like doing) and spending time with the family you will meet so many different people and you'll probably have chance to be present at different ceremonies or workshops or i don't know what else! so you can gain so much from being there, if you are willing toDu kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.
