  Help me finish renovating a very old traditional house with garden and orchard in Central Portugal - Serra da Estrela!
  
  My name is Monica and I'm an italian illustrator who left the hectic city life to live a life more connected with nature.
  Now I'm slowly restoring a large stone house (that is almost completely renovated to a modern standard) and annexed land where I created and orchard and a garden. Even though I have (had) professional building companies there still some DIY things left to make it a cosy home. 💚
  
  I'm looking for a volunteer or two that can share a double bed, (140 cm wide 190 long) preferably with their own means of transportation so they wouldn't feel stuck here as there is no public transportation. They must be positive, respectful, open minded , with good energy and able to work independently but also in team.
  I see workaway as a cultural exchange, so we'll be working together but depending on my schedule sometimes can happen that I have personal work to do and you'll have to attend to some tasks alone.
  
  Having been a Workawayer for years traveling around the world myself I now would appreciate some help with my own project (for details see below). 🙏
  
  Enjoy the quiet and the nature: The house is surrounded by vineyards and olive grooves. Plenty of walks. I've got also 2 mountain bikes you can use.
  You'll have your private room and bathroom with spectacular views of the mountain 🌟 There is wifi in the house so ideal for remote workers .
  
  Dedicated, conscious, experienced and independent volunteers with various skills around the house and gardening, willing to take over little projects, and volunteers with positive feedback are preferred...

  I have an extended multi language library, space for painting and getting creative.
  I'm flexitarian. I have a healthy diet and cook mostly vegetarian/vegan, sometimes I eat fish and eggs, very rarely meat.
  I live in a quiet small village( just houses, no shops) among olive grooves and vineyards, the closest city with bars cafés and cinema is 2 km away,
  Serra da Estrela national park offers plenty of hikes, scenery views, river beaches, perfect picnic spots.

  Arbeit

  My house was built in the beginnings of XX century and has all its original wooden features almost untouched. The interior needs some finishing, sanding, painting, cleaning. I also need help in moving stuff around (no big stuff, just boxes). The main tasks by the local construction company have been done (bathrooms kitchen and rooftoop). The garden needs weeding and get the vegetable area prepared for winter...
  
  Specifically: sand and paint wood, minor woodwork, painting old cabinets, help prepare the no dig garden beds for the next season (micro dip irrigation), organizing tools in the workshop.
  
  Max 25 hrs work a week, meals provided

  Unterkunft

  Private bedroom, private bathroom, small double bed to be shared(140x190 cm) (hence my request for couples, but can be a couple of friends willing to stand each other in the same bed ;-) )

  Was noch ...

  Plenty of woods in the surroundings to go walking-running-biking (it's flat) . I have two bycicles you can borrow.
  Serra da Estrela National park is only 25 min drive away and offers spectacular hikes, if I'm free I'm happy to hike. At the top there is even a Mickey Mouse ski slope active all winter. (2000 mt a.s.l.)

  I have a courtyard but it's not level, although there is a flat space just around the corner , in the center of the village, in a very quiet spot, friends with camper already slept there and the few neighbours were happy about it.
