    Our organization is a women-led non-profit dedicated to promoting climate sustainability, environment conservation, gender equality, and poverty alleviation at the grassroots level. The organization is based in Tanzania and is entirely run by young women passionate about protecting the planet for future generations. The organization aspires to see a society where youth and women are at the forefront of climate action, leading initiatives that mitigate the impacts of climate change and promote ecological balance while alleviating poverty. We work towards ensuring that the environment and Natural resources are governed in a just manner that benefits both people and biodiversity. The Organization works to Educate indigenous communities on environment conservation and maintaining biodiversity for sustainable development while mitigating climate change by planting trees for carbon footprint. Through Clean and Renewable energy in rural areas, climate actions while empowering women in Agroforestry, it makes the environment conservation agenda more sophisticated and creates environmental stewardship in indigenous communities and public schools.

    Volunteering in Mwanza offers a rich cultural and natural experience, combining meaningful work with opportunities to explore Tanzania’s unique environment and heritage. Located on the shores of Lake Victoria, volunteers can enjoy boat trips, relax by the water, and learn about the importance of the lake to local communities. Mwanza also offers easy access to Saa Nane Island, a peaceful nature reserve perfect for hiking, birdwatching, and connecting with nature.

    Additionally, volunteers can immerse themselves in Tanzania’s history and culture by visiting Bujora Museums, which showcase the traditions of the Sukuma people, one of the largest ethnic groups in the country. The museum’s exhibits on local art, history, and daily life offer a deeper understanding of the region’s cultural heritage.

    A short distance from Mwanza is the world-famous Serengeti National Park, where volunteers can experience a safari to see Tanzania’s iconic wildlife in their natural habitats. This combination of natural beauty, wildlife, and cultural exploration provides volunteers with a well-rounded and enriching experience.     Volunteers will play a key role in supporting our initiatives to promote climate change awareness in schools and empower women through green jobs. Tasks will be diverse and collaborative, allowing volunteers to contribute to organizing workshops, creating educational materials, leading discussions, and engaging with local communities. Volunteers will work closely with team members to design and implement activities that inspire students and communities to take action on climate change and explore sustainable career opportunities.

    Throughout these tasks, volunteers will have the opportunity to share their skills and knowledge, whether it's in public speaking, project management, social media outreach, or environmental education. The team-based nature of the work fosters an environment of continuous learning, where volunteers can learn from each other’s experiences and build new competencies in climate advocacy and empowerment strategies. By working together, volunteers will not only contribute to meaningful change but also grow personally and professionally in a supportive and dynamic setting.

    Volunteers in Mwanza will be provided with comfortable, safe, and convenient affordable accommodation that allows them to fully immerse themselves in their work while enjoying a supportive environment. Accommodation is typically in a shared house or volunteer lodge, located within a short distance from our office and key project sites. The living spaces are designed to offer a home-like atmosphere, where volunteers can relax and connect with fellow team members.

    Each room is equipped with basic amenities, including beds, linens, and storage space, ensuring a comfortable stay. Volunteers will have access to shared kitchen facilities where they can prepare meals, as well as common areas for socializing, relaxation, and collaboration.

    Security is a top priority, with staff on-site to ensure a safe environment, and volunteers will have the support of our local team to help with any needs or concerns. Additionally, the accommodation is situated in a friendly, vibrant neighborhood, providing an opportunity for cultural exchange with local communities.
