  My name is Shyama. A few years ago, I embarked on the project of my dreams: restoring a house in the countryside and turning the space into a small oasis of peace and tranquility, self-sufficient and surrounded by nature.
  
  
  Soy Shyama, hace unos años inicié el proyecto de mis sueños: restaurar una casa en el campo y hacer del espacio un pequeño oasis de paz y tranquilidad, autosostenible y en plena naturaleza.

  The house is surrounded by a large natural area, with a river and open meadows where you can rest, disconnect from the pace of everyday life and reconnect with yourself. It is a perfect place to meditate, enjoy the sounds of nature, go for walks, or simply contemplate the sky and the starlight at night.
  
  I am a yoga teacher and regularly practise Hatha Yoga. I also start each morning with meditation. If you wish, you are welcome to join me in these practices and enjoy them during your stay.
  
  
  La casa está rodeada de un amplio espacio natural, con río y grandes campas donde descansar, desconectar del ritmo cotidiano y reconectar con uno mismo. Es un lugar perfecto para meditar, disfrutar de los sonidos de la naturaleza, pasear o simplemente contemplar el cielo y la luz de las estrellas por la noche.
  
  Soy profesora de Yoga y practico Hatha Yoga habitualmente. Además, cada mañana comienzo el día con una meditación. Si lo deseas, puedes compartir conmigo estas prácticas y disfrutar de ellas durante tu estancia.

  Arbeit

  There are always things to do both around the house and on the land, so the help is very varied and no two days have to be the same!
  
  The house is still being restored, and there are different DIY projects to get involved in: painting, tiling, assembling and installing furniture, and helping with small renovation and maintenance tasks.
  
  There is also plenty to do and enjoy outdoors: mowing the grass, taking care of the vegetable garden, pruning trees and, in general, helping to look after and maintain this little corner surrounded by nature.
  
  I also share this place with three adventurous cats, an adorable dog, two lovely dwarf goats and several chickens, so a little help taking care of them and maintaining the small stable and chicken coop is always welcome.
  
  Inside the house, there are also some everyday cleaning and maintenance tasks, as well as cooking and preparing meals.
  
  The most important thing is to have a positive attitude, a willingness to help and, above all, to enjoy a simple and peaceful life close to nature.
  
  Siempre hay cosas que hacer tanto en la casa como en el terreno, así que la ayuda es muy variada y ¡no todos los días tienen por qué ser iguales!
  
  La casa todavía está en proceso de restauración y hay diferentes proyectos de bricolaje en los que participar: pintar, colocar azulejos, montar e instalar muebles y ayudar con pequeñas tareas de reforma y mantenimiento.
  
  En el exterior también hay mucho que hacer y disfrutar: cortar la hierba, cuidar la huerta, podar los árboles y, en general, ayudar a mantener y cuidar este pequeño rincón en plena naturaleza.
  
  Además, comparto este lugar con tres gatos intrépidos, una perra adorable, dos simpáticas cabras enanas y varias gallinas, así que siempre viene bien un poco de ayuda con su cuidado y con el mantenimiento de la pequeña cuadra y el gallinero.
  
  Dentro de la casa también hay algunas tareas cotidianas de limpieza y mantenimiento, y también cocinar y preparar las comidas.
  
  Lo más importante es tener buena disposición, ganas de colaborar y, sobre todo, disfrutar de una vida sencilla y tranquila en contacto con la naturaleza.

  Unterkunft

  Accommodation is in the house itself, in a charming, newly renovated bedroom. The bathroom, kitchen and living room are shared spaces.
  
  The food at home is varied: we eat everything except meat.
  
  El alojamiento es en la propia casa, en una habitación con encanto recién restaurada. El baño, la cocina y el salón son espacios compartidos.
  
  La comida en casa es variada: se come de todo excepto carne.

  The house is located in a beautiful natural setting, in a peaceful village surrounded by nature, while at the same time being very well connected to both the coast and Bilbao.
  
  The bus stop is right next to the house, so it is easy to get around without needing a car. From here, you can reach some of the most beautiful beaches, coastal villages and places in the area:

  — Plentzia (20 min)
  — Mundaka (25 min)
  — Sopelana (25 min)
  — Laga and Laida (45 min)
  — San Juan de Gaztelugatxe (30 min)
  — Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve (20 min)

  You can also easily reach Bilbao and other places of interest:
  
  — Guggenheim Museum and Bilbao city centre (25 min)
  — Portugalete's Vizcaya Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (35 min)
  
  It is a place where you can combine a peaceful life surrounded by nature with days at the beach, excursions, visits to fishing villages and trips to Bilbao, even if you are travelling without a car.
  
  
  La casa se encuentra en un entorno natural precioso, en un pueblo tranquilo y rodeado de naturaleza, pero al mismo tiempo muy bien comunicado tanto con la costa como con Bilbao.
  
  La parada de autobús está al lado de la casa, por lo que es fácil moverse sin necesidad de tener coche. Desde aquí puedes llegar a algunas de las playas, pueblos costeros y lugares más bonitos de la zona:
