Beschreibung
We are a new non-profit organization for the creation, dissemination and promotion of the arts, education and culture in the region. We are a happy, experienced and proud team working with people from all over, who see difference as a wealth.
Our association is located at the St-André Mansion (Kamouraska). This is where we develop most of our artistic and community activities. The Mansion, in summer, is a touristic hostel, as well as our beloved home for the reste of the seasons!
Our creations, activities and events share the philosophy of community art and participatory art in order to erase the hierarchy between artists and participants.
We have a lot of cultural development work to do, but also gardens to create / enlarge, renovations, the establishment of a theater and many other exciting projects to develop.
Come participate in this human adventure! The meeting of the other as an end in itself.
Culture is not a business sector. It's a dimension that cuts through them all.

Nous sommes un nouvel organisme à but non-lucratif de création, de diffusion et de promotion des arts, de l'éducation et de la culture en région. Nous sommes une équipe joyeuse, expérimentée et fière de travailler avec des gens de partout, qui voient la différence comme une richesse.
L'Association est dans la région de Kamouraska. C'est là que nous développons la plupart de nos activités artistiques et communautaires. Le Manoir, en saison estivale, est une auberge touristique ainsi que notre chère maison pour le reste des saisons!
Nos créations, activités et évènements partagent la philosophie de l'art communautaire et de l'art participatif de manière à effacer le cadre hiérarchique entre les artistes et les participant.es.
Nous avons beaucoup de travail de développement culturel à effectuer, mais aussi des jardins à créer/agrandir, des rénovations, une salle de spectacle à construire et plusieurs autres projets motivants à déployer.
Venez participer à cette aventure humaine! La rencontre de l'autre comme une fin en soi.
La culture n'est pas un secteur d'activité. C'est une dimension qui les traverse tous.

For the development of our cultural center and our artistic projects, as well as the good running of the hostel in summer, we are looking for:
- General volunteers from May to October:
* Cultivate the garden
* Help in the proper functioning of our cultural center during artistic events
* Possibility of animation of art and cultural workshops with the local community
- Cultural managers (We need them all the time! - flexible dates)
* Support the establishment of an artistic and cultural program of shows, broadcasts, exhibitions, workshops
* Possibility of animation of artistic and cultural workshops and events for the community
* Promotion support (social networks, production of promotional artistic material with arts - screen printing, sewing, drawings ...)
- Carpenters (March to August)
* To maintain and build the infrastructure of the cultural center!
- Apprentices who want to work with their head, their hands and their heart!
No help will be requested with tasks relating to the hotel, restaurant, bar or any spaces where there are paying guests/customers

Pour le développement de notre centre culturel et de nos projets artistiques nous cherchons des:
- Volontaires généralistes de mai à octobre:
* Cultiver le jardin
* Aide au bon fonctionnement de notre salle de spectacle lors d'évènements artistiques
* Possibilité d'animation d'ateliers participatifs avec la communauté locale
- Gestionnaires culturels (On en a tout le temps besoin! - dates flexibles)
* Appuie à la mise en place d’une programmation artistique et culturelle de spectacles, diffusions, expositions, ateliers
* Possibilité d’animation d’ateliers artistiques et culturels et d’évènements pour la communauté
* Soutien à la promotion (réseaux sociaux, production de matériel artistique promotionnel avec les arts - sérigraphie, couture, dessins...)
- Menuisiers et Menuisières (mars à aout)
* Pour entretenir et construire les infrastructures du centre culturel!
- Apprenti.es qui veulent travailler avec leur tête, leur mains et leur coeur!
Aucune aide ne sera demandée pour les tâches relatives à l'hôtel, au restaurant, au bar ou à tout espace où il y a des clients payants

Unterkunft
All the helpers live in a large mansion built in 1879! It has rooms with private bathrooms for long stays (in spring-winter-autumn) and a comfortable and bright dormitory for shorter stays (summer). Please note that private rooms are not available during the summer season, even for long stays. During this season, it is possible to sleep in a dormitory, in a prospector's tent or camping. Accommodation is free for all helpers.
In summer, three meals (with vegetarian and gluten-free options) will be provided free of charge and will come from our production in the garden as well as from local gardeners. It is also possible to meet your food needs with organic and local gardeners, local markets as well as in the surrounding grocery stores.
For the rest of your errands: we can lend you a car or drive you to the nearest village to get you everything you need. There is also a small convenience store in the village for those who prefer to walk.
Ten minutes by bike is the La Tête d'Allumette microbrewery. We can lend you one of our bikes if needed!

Tous les travailleurs et travailleuses vivent dans un grand manoir construit en 1879! Celui-ci est muni de chambres avec salle de bain privée pour les longs séjours (au printemps-hiver-automne) et d'un dortoir confortable et lumineux pour les séjours plus courts (été). Il est à noter que les chambres privées ne sont pas disponibles pendant la saison estivale, même en cas de long séjour. Pendant cette saison, il est possible de dormir en dortoir, dans une tente prospecteur ou en camping. L'hébergement est gratuit pour tous les travailleurs et travailleuses.
L'été, trois repas (avec possibilités végétariennes et sans gluten) seront fournis gratuitement et proviendront de notre production du jardin ainsi que des maraichers locaux. Il est également possible de compléter vos besoins alimentaires auprès de maraîchers et maraîchères bio et locaux, de groupes d'achats locaux ainsi que dans les épiceries des environs.
Pour le reste de vos commissions : nous pouvons vous prêter une voiture ou vous conduire dans le village le plus proche pour vous procurer tout ce dont vous avez besoin. Il y a aussi un petit dépanneur dans le village pour ceux et celles qui préfèrent marcher.
À dix minutes de vélo se trouve la microbrasserie La Tête d'Allumette. Nous pouvons vous prêter un de nos vélos au besoin!

Les horaires de travail sont flexibles et varient selon la saison et les tâches à effectuer. Nos bénévoles Workaway travaillent de 4 à 5 heures par jour, le matin, l'après-midi ou le soir.
Lors de vos temps libres, vous pouvez aller vous baigner à la plage, faire de la randonnée en montagne ou prendre de longues marches le long du fleuve, jouer de la musique dans la cour, vous détendre près du feu, faire de l'escalade ou du bloc en plein-air, visiter la bibliothèque ou le centre d'art de Kamouraska, etc.
Nous vous ferons connaître les amis et les artistes de la région: une belle gang!

Working hours are flexible and vary according to the season and the tasks that need to be done. Our Workaway volunteers can work from 4 to 5 hours a day, during the morning, the afternoon or the evening.
During your free time, you can go to the beach, go for a hike in the mountains or take long walks along the river, relax by the fire, play music in the backyard, go rock climbing or outdoor bouldering, visit the library or the Kamouraska Art Center, etc.
We will introduce you to our friends and the artists of the region: a beautiful gang!
