Beschreibung
I live in a very dynamic village in the south of Belgium. My children, Manoëlle (20) and Pablo (17), are studying away but I am involved in different associations in the neighbourhood. My house is close to beautiful woods and 25 kms away from Namur. Par of the house has been renovated 2 years ago, I am starting a new part form sptember 2019. I also have a permacultural project in the backyard (1ha), growinf vegetables and planing to plant a food forest this autumn! This project is run by a small organization, Humus, in which I give gardening workshops. We are very willingfull to share experiences in this field !

You could participate in some activities within the local community, meetings, workshops. We also like walking in the woods or the countryside. You will learn some ecobuilding and permaculture skills. I speak french, a little bit of english and my children and I also speak Spanish.
Arbeit
The main work would be helping in the garden of Humus association, preparing parcels for autumn, cutting wood, e.g. and also helping renovating the house.

Unterkunft
We have a little guest room within the house. I eat mainly vegetarian meals, but sometimes some meat. We try to eat local and bio food.
We have internet connexion but only one computer and the connexion is usually quite slow, so you will be request to share the connexion with the other members of the family.

On your time off, you may go for walking or cycling. You also can visit the nearest cities: Huy, Ciney and Namur where there are some cultural activities like cinemas, theatres, shops, etc. To go to those cities, the only way (except the car) is to take the bus (10 kms for the nearest railway station). They pass 4 to 5 times a day. But I can always drive you If needed.

I spend a fortnight helping to complete renovations on their house and preparing Corrine's permaculture garden for the winter, learning many things along the way. In this time they showed me how to attach boards to a ceiling and plastering, as well as fitting wooden flooring.… read more
