I am a professional woman (61) who is fortunate enough to enjoy a large property located on the ocean and in a rural farming community. My seaside cottage style century home is a relaxed and cozy atmosphere. Located in the community of Delhaven, the property offers an expansive view, wooded trails and beach front. The home's guest bedroom and bathroom space is on the main floor (mine is the second story); amentities include a shower, washer and dryer, and the kitchen is shared. The large deck and outdoor spaces are open for sunseeking and relaxation. When it's high tide you can swim and kayak or go fishing, and at low tide you can walk the sea floor! The Bay of Fundy is home to the largest tidal changes worldwide, as much as 16 m (56 ft) every 12 hours! You’ll never be bored watching this spectacle and exploring our unique coastal environment. Blomindon Park and Cape Split are two of the best day hiking trails and are both within about 16 km (10-20 min drive).

My workspace and home becomes a concert venue several times a year hosting small concerts. I am a registered counselling and music therapist and lifelong musician, and enjoy playing the guitar, piano and cello among other instruments. Learning about world music has always been a passion and I would embrace an experience from another culture.

The Annapolis Valley is a place of several towns making little communities including farmers markets, outdoor music events, and small shops. The university town of Wolfville offers cultural events which also bring speakers occasionally. An event webpage will be provided for the guests. The food and beverage industry is a specialty here too. There are wineries, breweries and so many delicious places to eat. The fishing wharf is a few hundred yards up the road for those interested, many organic and sustainable farms in this area including vineyard. This is a quiet community with lots to offer from local produce or relaxing with ice cream and other treats in the vacinity.

My ideal workawayer would be a joyful gardener, be a bit handy for some fix it projects or general maintenance. Transplanting, weeding, and landscaping is something I enjoy but difficult to manage by myself. I'd like to work alongside for part of the day and then will also be working half the day at my private practice (psychotherapy wellness centre attached to my home). I am largely seeking a second set of hands to help with tasks around the house and yard in getting the annuals planted and cleanup done.

Blomindon Park (8km away) has 759 ha (1,875 acres) including 180m (600ft) high cliffs, a variety of habitats, striking natural features, abundant wildlife and the world’s highest tides wash its shores. These natural attractions provide excellent opportunities for camping, hiking, rock hounding, beachcombing, photography or just appreciating nature. Located 17 km from my door is the amazing Cape Split hike which is a stunning 13.2km of looped trail through old-growth and coastal conifer forests with spectacular panoramic views of the Minas Basin and Scots Bay. If you are into cycling, this area is very popular!

In order to make yourself at home, there is a patio with barbeque and fire table for you to unwind and enjoy. The beach is accessible taking you out to the sandbar and kilometers of beach walking. I also have two kayaks which can be used at high tide for local paddling (tide charts provided).

I am a psychotherapist and run a private practice which is adjoined to my home. During the time I work with clients (half days), quiet in the house is needed as well as avoiding people coming and going to maintain privacy and confidentiality. I will be unavailable to guests for any questions during that time. As this is a close rural community, we are also mindful of M-F 11pm to 7 am to be quiet times.

Water is from a well and use a septic system only which means mindful flushing. Drinking water is imported spring water.
