  Beschreibung

  This is the recently opened school for music and fine arts in the vibrant city of Puerto Varas, a touristic hub in Chile’s picturesque Los Lagos region. Located in a beautiful old mansion with lake view, our conservatory strives to combine classical education with a multi-faceted modern approach to teaching. With an emphasis on classical music we also teach other musical styles as well as composition, painting, different types of dance, and yoga. We strive to be a “learning institution” both in the sense of offering an environment built around the students’ needs and interests as well as a place where everyone involved is constantly sharing knowledge and learning at the same time. We’re looking for volunteers who cherish the stimulation of an artistic surrounding and want to share their own organizational, manual, cooking, gardening and/or service skills in the administrative and marketing area.

  The conservatory is situated in a prime location of Puerto Varas, just a few meters from the lakeside and surrounded by green areas. Space allowing, volunteers can participate in group classes only when the class is not full. Attendance of all concerts offered by the conservatory is also free for volunteers.
  
  All the activities in the conservatory are currently different because of the COVID, so when is allowd to open our space we are taking all the sanitary measures, and the group classes with a maximum of people allowd.

  Arbeit

  The conservatory is set up in a typical old mansion that we have been restoring little by little during the last few months. We need daily help with maintaining rooms and public areas, keeping the fires going in the stoves, preparing classrooms before lessons, and cooking (vegetarian) meals for our team. The mansion has a big garden that needs some love as well if you want to be part of that.
  
  Currrently we are looking for volunteers who can help us in administration, marketing a media producer.

  Unterkunft

  We offer volunteers a private room inside of the conservatory. There is only one room for accomodation in the music conservatory, so you will be using the facilities at nigh just for yourself.
  We have one bathroom and kitchen for the use of the volunteer.

  We are looking for committed people who are passionate about music and the arts in general. Some of our values are respect for the environment and healthy nutrition, so we prefer volunteers who share these values. Minimum required stay is one month. Basic spanish is a plus.
