  Hello! We are a nature-loving couple living in Santa Cruz de la Palma. In life, I am a great enthusiast of research and discovery. I love understanding the world around us, exploring new ideas, and observing the evolution of our environment. My partner and I share this taste for curiosity and respect for all living things. It is this spirit of exploration that led us to embark on a unique project: revitalizing the land by creating, from scratch, a true shrub forest. We have already planted over a thousand trees! It's an open-air laboratory, a young, growing forest that requires a lot of attention and love to become a verdant oasis. In addition to this plant project, our daily life is shared with our feathered companions, whom we care for every day. For us, this place is a space for continuous learning, reconnecting with the earth, and sharing. We would be delighted to exchange ideas with you about our discoveries and learn from your own experiences!

  Bonjour ! Nous sommes un couple amoureux de la nature, installés à Santa Cruz de la Palma.Dans la vie, je suis un grand adepte de recherche et de découverte. J'aime comprendre le monde qui nous entoure, explorer de nouvelles idées et observer l'évolution de notre environnement. Ma partenaire et moi partageons ce goût pour la curiosité et le respect du vivant.C'est cet esprit d'exploration qui nous a poussés à nous lancer dans un projet unique : redonner vie à la terre en créant, à partir de zéro, une véritable forêt arbustive. Nous avons déjà planté plus d'un millier d'arbres ! C'est un laboratoire à ciel ouvert, une jeune forêt en pleine croissance qui demande beaucoup d'attention et d'amour pour devenir une oasis verdoyante.En plus de ce projet végétal, notre quotidien est partagé avec nos compagnons à plumes dont nous prenons soin chaque jour. Pour nous, ce lieu est un espace d'apprentissage continu, de reconnexion à la terre et de partage. Nous serons ravis d'échanger avec vous sur nos découvertes et d'apprendre de vos propres expériences !

  By coming to us, you will not only work the land: you will experience a real immersion and an enriching exchange. Here is what this adventure will bring you:🌱 Skills in arboriculture and ecology: You will learn to manage a young shrub forest, observe the evolution of more than 1000 trees and understand the needs of each species (targeted watering, soil maintenance).🦃 Care of animals in the great outdoors: You will discover daily life and behavior geese and turkeys, and will learn to manage their diet independently.🧭 Spirit of research and exploration: If you like to understand the world, we will be delighted to share with you our discoveries about nature, the environment and the unique ecosystem of the Canary Islands.🗣️ Language practice & local life: You will share the daily life of a local couple. This is the ideal opportunity to practice a new language (French or Spanish) and discover the secrets of the island of La Palma, far from mass tourism.🧘 Autonomy and reconnection: You will develop great autonomy, especially during our holidays in September when you will be the official guardian of this haven of peace.

  En venant chez nous, vous ne ferez pas que travailler la terre : vous vivrez une véritable immersion et un échange enrichissant.Voici ce que cette aventure va vous apporter :🌱 Compétences en arboriculture et écologie : Vous apprendrez à gérer une jeune forêt arbustive, à observer l'évolution de plus de 1000 arbres et à comprendre les besoins de chaque espèce (arrosage ciblé, entretien du sol).🦃 Soin des animaux au grand air : Vous découvrirez le quotidien et le comportement des oies et des dindons, et apprendrez à gérer leur alimentation de manière autonome.🧭 Esprit de recherche et d'exploration : Si vous aimez comprendre le monde, nous serons ravis de partager avec vous nos découvertes sur la nature, l'environnement et l'écosystème unique des Canaries.🗣️ Pratique des langues & vie locale : Vous partagerez le quotidien d'un couple local. C'est l'occasion idéale pour pratiquer une nouvelle langue (le français ou l'espagnol) et découvrir les secrets de l'île de La Palma, loin du tourisme de masse.🧘 Autonomie et reconnexion : Vous développerez une grande autonomie, notamment pendant nos vacances en septembre où vous serez le gardien officiel de ce havre de paix.

  LONG-TERM COMMITMENT if possible. We are looking for a volunteer or couple to stay with us for several months. Here are your main missions: 💧 Watering the forest (with a hose): Taking care of our thousand trees. Watering is done manually. This allows you to check the condition of each tree and clean its base (remove weeds). It's physical work but very rewarding in the great outdoors. 🦃 Caring for turkeys and geese: Feeding and watering our feathered companions. Everything is centralized in a single area. Feeders and drinkers need to be cleaned and refilled every 2 or 3 days, depending on the heat and sun. We ask for approximately 4 to 5 hours of help per day, with 2 days off per week to allow you to visit La Palma.

  ENGAGEMENT À LONG TERME si possible. Nous recherchons un(e) volontaire ou couple pour rester avec nous plusieurs mois.Voici vos missions principales :💧 L'arrosage de la forêt (au tuyau) : Prendre soin de notre millier d'arbres. L'arrosage se fait manuellement. Cela permet de vérifier l'état de chaque arbre et de nettoyer son pied (enlever les mauvaises herbes). C'est un travail physique mais très gratifiant au grand air.🦃 Le soin des dindons et des oies : Nourrir et abreuver nos compagnons à plumes. Tout est centralisé dans une seule zone. Il faut nettoyer et remplir les mangeoires et les abreuvoirs tous les 2 ou 3 jours, selon la chaleur et le soleil.Nous demandons environ 4 à 5 heures d'aide par jour, avec 2 jours de repos par semaine pour vous permettre de visiter La Palma.

  We are delighted to offer our volunteers a very comfortable and independent living environment. We can accommodate a single person or a couple. Your accommodation: You will have your own independent house on the property. It includes:🛏️A welcoming private bedroom.🚿A bathroom.🍳A totally independent kitchen to prepare your meals in complete autonomy.The exteriors and shared spaces:🏊The swimming pool: You will have full access to the property's swimming pool, to share with us to relax after your working hours.🍖A barbecue: At your disposal to cook outside and enjoy the climate of La Palma.
  
  Organization of meals:We provide food for your meals. You are completely free to cook at your own pace in your home. Depending on everyone's wishes, meals are taken either individually or together a few days a week to share friendly moments and exchange ideas!

Vous êtes totalement libre de cuisiner à votre rythme dans votre maison. Selon les envies de chacun, les repas se prennent soit individuellement, soit ensemble quelques jours par semaine pour partager des moments conviviaux et échanger !
