My husband and I live on 3/4 of an acre in Shawnigan Lake. We are an English speaking, non-smoking, retired couple. Rick worked at a local college in the IT department and I was an elementary school teacher. We have 2 large golden doodles and live in a rural area.

The workawayer will have the benefit of living near a lake, the ocean and other outdoor adventure areas. While we live within a 10 minute walk to a bus stop, we live in a rural community with limited bus transportation. We strongly advise Workawayers have their own vehicle.
Our community is 30 minutes away from Greater Victoria, the capital city of BC.
Arbeit
The Workawayer will be helping with tree pruning and getting our yard ready for the Spring. We are looking for someone who can do physical work and use various power tools. Experience with pruning is a bonus. You may also be asked to help with some decluttering, house cleaning and dog walking.
Because of our location, you will have more independence if you have your own car.

You will have a bedroom with a single bed, a mostly private bathroom, partial kitchen and living room. We will provide food for your stay but you will be required to make your own breakfast, lunch and the occasional dinner.

My stay at Karen and Ricks house was just perfect and I felt like home every minute of it.
