  We are a growing forest reserve, created by a married couple: Hugo (Civil Engineer) and Silvia (Doctor), who want to leave a mark and contribute many grains of sand to the fight against climate change and food security. We started this dream of creating an eco-hostel that protects nature and recovers the cultural roots of the Guanes as an indigenous people that inhabited the Chicamocha Canyon. We currently work with a peasant community in a village called La Peña, which is located in the lower part of the mountain where we are. The only way to get to this place is by walking or descending by rope; We are supporting boys and girls to find a decent life option in ecotourism, without abandoning their territory.
  
  Somos una reserva forestal en crecimiento, creada por una pareja de esposos: Hugo (Ingeniero Civil) y Silvia (Médico), que queremos dejar huella y arportar muchos granitos de arena para la lucha contra el cambio climático y la seguridad alimentaria. Empezamos este sueño de crear a @ como un eco hostal que proteja la naturaleza y recupere el arraigo cultural de los Guanes como pueblo indígena que habitó el Cañón del Chicamocha. Actualmente trabajamos con una comunidad campesina en una vereda llamada La Peña que se encuentra en la parte baja de la montaña donde estamos nosotros. La única forma de llegar a este lugar es caminando o decendiendo por cuerda; estamos apoyando a los niños y niñas para que encuentren en el ecoturismo una opción de vida digna, sin abandonar su territorio.

  In our house are all the time our living, some local farmers from the area who will have much to tell and teach. For now, we go every weekend, time in which we can share experiences, meals and do outdoor activities.

  Arbeit

  Hello everyone, we are Hugo and Silvia, we are currently starting a beautiful reforestation project in the Chicamocha Canyon in Santander, Colombia. Our project is located on the edge of the canyon and we are reforesting with species of native and fruit trees, recovering the ecosystem, supporting the birds and building a couple of cabins for eco-tourism. We are looking for people to help us with planting trees and gardening, planting home gardens and chickens :)
  
  Hola a todos, somos Hugo y Silvia, actualmente estamos empezando un lindo proyecto de reforestación en el Cañón del Chicamocha en Santander, Colombia. Nuestro proyecto se encuentra a la orilla del cañón y estamos reforestando con especies de árboles nativos y frutales, recuperando el ecosistema, apoyando a las aves y construyendo un par de cabañas para eco turismo. Buscamos personas para que nos ayuden con la siembra de árboles y jardinería, siembra de huertas caseras y gallinas :)

  The accommodation will be in a house with an incredible view of the Chicamocha Canyon, where you will have a clean bed, a private bathroom, you will be able to cook your own food, you will have the right to be in 12 Hectares of tropical dry forest on the edge of the Chicacmocha Canyon
  
  El alojamiento será en una casa con una vista increíble al Cañón del Chicamocha, donde tendrás una cama limpia, baño privado, podrás cocinar tus propios alimentos, tendrás derecho a estar en 12 Hectareas de bosque seco tropical al borde del Cañón del Chicacmocha.

  Estamos ubicados en un lugar fantástico, muy cerca de nuestra finca hay cuevas con pictografías Guanes (una atigua etnia que habitó el Cañón del Chicamocha), además hay lindas rutas para hacer caminatas, cascadas naturales y gente linda de la que estoy seguro que podrás aprender.
