We are a young at heart, artist couple in our 50’s who are creating a tinyhome course project for people to learn about a simpler more ecological way to live.
Martin has over 25 years experience as a carpenter and designer/sculptor. Michelle is a painter, Reiki Master and writer.
We have been building our own house for the past few years and would like some help creating and completing our tinyhome projects and general construction clean up, maintenance, landscaping and gardening while also sharing skills and culture.
If you enjoy nature and creativity we would love to have you come and assist us. No skills are required but an interest in learning is always beneficial.
Social distancing and safety comfort levels will all be considered when you come.
Martin teaches tinyhome/caravan building courses from time to time so there are lots of projects on the go as it is a creative hub.
Our concept is to create a Tinyhome camp experience where people can come and learn about sustainable building and a more ecological approach to life.
We enjoy eating healthy meals--can do vegetarian as well. We are positive people who enjoy sharing life and laughter with others we meet along the way from all walks of life. We have many interests including tiny-home building, teaching traditional Reiki courses and making collaborative public art.
You will have your own little Tinyhome to stay in while here. It has electricity and there is an outhouse. At this time it is like a rustic camping kind of experience. It has a small kitchen and fridge.
There is also hot showers and wifi in our house. We are unable to accomodate workawayer's pets at this time. There are a few dogs on the property who belong to some of the folks who are staying here.
We are a 20 minute drive from Pemberton.
Having your own vehicle would be great.
We have been both workaway workers in different countries and hosts over the past 7 years so we have a good understanding of Workaway and the wonderful people we have met thru our experiences.

There are other tiny homes on the property so there are a few people staying on the property. But each Tinyhome is fully-self contained.
We hope that volunteers can stay for at least one week. Longer stays are possible of up to three weeks.
We have a boat for people who want to go out and just be on the water. Our local lake is a few minute walk away so daily trips to swim are part of the routine.
Volunteers will need sleeping bag, flashlight, outdoor jacket, shoes if doing carpentry and bathing suit. Bug spray is recommended. We have wifi in the house. But we take regular trips to town every few days.
