  I (45) live in a small town on an old restored farmhouse about a half an hour from what I consider civilization.
  
  I moved to this part of Germany after looking for a place in the middle of nowhere, where I have space, nature and the free of mind for my aspiring woodwork projects.
  I’m working on designing and manufacture wooden tabletops, intricate cutting boards, wind spinners and meanwhile light&art Installations.
  
  I absolutely fell in love with this place…honestly: at first sight…and am sure you‘ll enjoy possibly just as much as I do. It’s one of the quietest places I’ve ever been to…on the outskirts of town…surrounded by acres upon acres of forest and fields…so perfect for anyone looking to dodge the city life, get back to the roots, in touch with nature and/or work on personal improvement.

  I’d say there’s quite a bit that can be learned while staying here…which is also one of the reasons I appreciate this place so much. Starting from wood-working skills to renovation, metalwork, household and ecological building knowledge, offer whitecaps variety, and that’s just naming a few.
  
  Friends and neighbors throughout the community are swinging by every möchte then offering new situations and variety…and forests and fields are just a few footsteps away for those who appreciate nature and their time alone. What else could anyone want?
  
  In addition, I like to focus on self-development and energy work…so things like Yoga, Reiki and meditation are not foreign words.
  
  As far as dietary preferences go, I’m vegan/vegetarian. Feel free to let me know if you have any special requests and I‘d be glad to incorporate that into our meals.

  Arbeit

  So, I’ve always got plenty to do and have narrowed the workaway projects down to two major tasks that I’m continually working to complete. Definitely, plenty of variety and opportunities to learn new skills, jump on a task you‘ve never thought before, and best case scenario: let your creativity unfold.
  
  I’d say the main task is the old farm building. When everything’s done I’d like to have it restored, with new windows, doors and everything else it’d like to have. And the interior projects include a complete woodshop, Seminar & Meditation area, kitchen, sleeping quarters…and if time and space are available: an art gallerie sort of space ❤️
  
  Infrastructure is the additional project. Continual improvements on making things easier and more fun to live here…an additional tiny house, sauna wagon and garden maintenance…just to name a few.
  
  I also like to have a few projects going on at the same time so things don’t get too menotinous working in just one project. If there are strengths and ideas that you bring with I‘d love to incorporate them…feel free to get creative and add your footprint.
  
  And when things get cold or boring or who knows…there are always artistic projects going on in the existing workshop: cutting boards made from scratch, wind spinners production…and a whatever is going on at the moment.

  Unterkunft

  Since I just moved here accommodations are quite important so we all have our space to relax and feel at home when the time is right.
  
  The more space we can create, the more helping hands and seminar guests can be accommodated. So quotes high priority 👍

  The area is absolutely beautiful; rolling fields amongst scattered patches of forests surrounded by complete piece and quiet.
  We're about a half an hour outside of Magdeburg (250k) and what I like to say almost the middle of nowhere. I've rarely found a place as peaceful and quiet as it is here. Planes, trains and freeways are all far enough away that you are undisturbed here.
  For those who would like to get away from the piece and quiet, Magdeburg is a half an hour away and offers basically everything a larger metropole has to offer. I drive into the city about once a week to meet up with friends, go climbing, etc. Other than that almost anything else you could need is a few towns away as far as shopping, doctors, malls etc. goes.

  I'd say our Internet works just fine. I personally haven't tested it with Skype or anything, but listen to and stream music most of the day and haven't had any problem with that. I guess if you have meetings for hours on end I'm not sure if the Internet is stable enough for that.
