Beschreibung
We are a German-Dutch couple with 2 sons, 8 and 6 years old. We are living on a wonderful piece of land far from any city, enjoying good neighborhood and friendship with the chilean people. We are building up our farm of 60ha, having build our own eco house and the whole infrastructure and taking care of our animals (2 horses, 10 cows, 12 chicken, 4 cats and a dog), as well as growing our vegetables and making our own bred and milk products. We always enjoy the help and company of other people, teaching and learning all about farming and construction.

Simple life with good food in a wonderful surrounding far from cities. Possibility to work and learn about gardening, making cheese and bred and eco construcción. Contact and exchange with neighbors and learning about traditional Patagonian (gaucho) life is possible.
We would like to share a good time together as everything is very basically and close together and we are 10 km from Palena. Until now it has worked. If you can ride a horse, we have one good horse to discover the wonderful landscape with its mountain and rivers and to meet other people.

Arbeit
We are always happy and thankful about help. The more interested and motivated you are the better. The work of 23/24 is the finishing of the cheesery, changing the garden to biointensiv, installing a watering system for the fruit trees, cleaning the land and other work outside. Apart from that you can always give a hand in the household or play soccer with the boys. If you're capable you can also help in the construcción. You can learn making bred and jogurt and growing vegetable. And of course for learning you can join us at any work we do. The longer you stay the more time we will take for teaching you. I hope you can understand...
There will be some cows to be milked, but only once a week to have milk products for our own consumption. We won't be in the whole production chain until we have finished the construction part...

Unterkunft
Basic and rustical: a room with your own kitchen, outside shower (with warm water when the sun is shining) and outside toilets. Outside is plenty space with a roof next to a waterfall, where you can make fire. We eat together a warm lunch. Breakfast and dinner (bread or cereals) on your own. (We provide you with the food of course) From January on we have vegetables from our garden, milk, cheese, yogurt and meat from our cows, self made bred... Alcohol and sweets are not included and can be bought ~ once a week in Palena.

In free time you can go walking in the mountain, fishing, horse riding (only if you are really able to ride) and meeting other people. Or just enjoy the pure nature around us. For transportation come by bus to Palena and we get you.

Living in the valley is very quiet and calm, and the surroundings are beautiful.
