Beschreibung
Our little farmstead is located on beautiful Vancouver Island, surrounded by old cedar forests, yet a few minutes away from the village center. We currently have goats, chickens and ducks and gardens however our long term vision is to open a sanctuary space with a sauna and hot tub. We are learning and implementing permaculture values as we work with the land and transform it into our little paradise.

The workawayer is welcome to explore the local Coastal culture by visiting local wilderness, the ocean,museums, exhibits, art, restaurants etc. The mushroom harvesting season will be at its peak for those who have the knowledge.

Arbeit
We are looking for a motivated helper who has some farm experience to care for our animals while we are away October 22nd to November 5th. The candidate will preferably know how to milk goats. The duties include:
Milking our 2 goats in the morning
Feeding the little heard + chickens & ducks
Cleaning the goat house and duck + chicken coop
Putting the animals away at night
Harvesting produce from the garden
Tending to the farm stand -

Unterkunft
You will have access to our entire house and amenities. You will be welcome to any eggs from our chickens, the goat milk and produce from our garden.

Mature and responsible candidates only please. You will be responsible for our entire house and property while we are away. The village is accessible by foot. There is also a public transit system however it is not as frequent as in a large city.
