  Beschreibung

  We currently have 6 locally paid teachers working with us.
  
  Their roles include:
  
  Conducting regular classroom teaching across subjects
  Managing lesson planning and curriculum delivery
  Supporting students’ academic progress and assessments
  Maintaining classroom discipline and engagement
  
  In addition, we welcome volunteers as part of a cultural exchange. Their role is to assist and support the main teachers, not replace them. They contribute by helping with conversational English, creative activities, and interactive learning sessions, which enhances the overall classroom experience for students.

  Living here offers a close experience of everyday life in a North Indian village. You will see how families live, how communities stay connected, and how traditions are still part of daily routines.
  
  You will experience simple things like local food, conversations with villagers, and the rhythm of life that is very different from cities. There is a sense of grounding and togetherness that naturally emerges when you spend time here.
  
  At the same time, this exchange is not one-sided.
  
  While you experience Indian culture, you will also bring your own perspective, ideas, and ways of learning. Children here are naturally curious, and even small interactions like speaking in English, sharing stories, or introducing new activities can be very meaningful for them.
  
  We also share practices like yoga, mindfulness, and reflective conversations, which are part of the learning environment we are building.
  
  This space allows for a genuine exchange — where both sides learn, adapt, and grow through everyday interactions.

  Arbeit

  We are in the early stages of rebuilding a rural school, so the kind of help we need is simple, hands-on, and meaningful.
  
  Volunteers can support us in creating a positive learning environment for children through:
  
  • basic English speaking practice and conversation
  • reading sessions and storytelling
  • helping children express themselves through small activities
  • assisting in daily routines like yoga, games, and classroom support
  • bringing creative ideas for learning (art, theatre, music, etc.)
  
  You do not need to be a professional teacher. What matters most is your ability to connect with children with patience and respect.
  
  Since we are building this space from the ground up, flexibility is important. Some days may involve structured activities with children, and some may involve helping us shape the space, plan sessions, or support small projects.
  
  We usually work for a few hours in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon, leaving enough time for rest, exploration, or personal work.
  
  This is a space for people who enjoy contributing, learning, and being part of something evolving.

  Unterkunft

  We offer simple and comfortable accommodation within the school premises. Depending on availability, volunteers can stay in bunk beds (shared space) or separate private rooms.
  
  The setup is basic but clean, with a peaceful rural environment that allows you to rest and settle into the experience.
  
  Meals will be provided, and you will be living close to the school and daily activities.

  This is a simple, rural setup, so flexibility and openness are important. Life here may feel different from cities, with fewer distractions and a slower pace.
  
  We value a respectful and conscious environment. Volunteers are expected to be responsible, maintain basic discipline, and engage sincerely with children and the space.
  
  Since we are in the early stages of building the school, things may not always be perfectly structured. A willingness to adapt, take initiative, and contribute with a positive attitude will make the experience more meaningful.
  
  We also appreciate people who are mindful of cultural sensitivities and open to experiencing local ways of living.
  
  If you are looking for a comfortable stay without much involvement, this may not be the right fit. But if you are open to contributing, learning, and being part of something evolving, you will find this experience rewarding.

  We welcome digital nomads who would like to balance their remote work with a few hours of meaningful contribution each day. The schedule is flexible and usually involves 3–4 hours of help per day, mostly in the morning, leaving the rest of the day free for your own work. Internet is available through mobile data and works well for basic online tasks. However, since this is a rural area, connectivity may not always be as fast or stable as in cities, so it’s best suited for those who can adapt to occasional fluctuations. The environment is quiet and peaceful, which can be supportive for focused work, reading, or creative projects. If you are someone who enjoys a slower pace of life and can manage your work independently, it is possible to create a good balance between your professional work and contributing to the school.

  We are open to volunteers traveling with pets, provided they are well-behaved and comfortable in a rural environment. Please keep in mind that this is a village setting with open spaces and other animals around, so pets should be manageable and not disruptive, especially around children. It would be helpful if you inform us in advance about your pet so we can discuss what would work best for everyone.
