Our Hostel is a British/ Dominican owned hostel located in the heart of the Colonial Zone in Santo Domingo on the stunning island of Dominican Republic.
We offer more than just accommodation, we deliver an experience. Only a couple of minutes' walk and you are at the famous Parque Colon, Plaza Espana, bars, clubs and restaurants that the Zona Colonial has to offer.
We are a fun, comfortable and safe place where you can meet other like minded travellers. The Dominican Republic has so much to offer, alot more than just beaches - although we have to say they are pretty awesome. Whether you are an adrenaline junkie or are here to explore the city, our tour desk can help you find what you are looking for.
We have been open for over 6 years now having won the Hostelworld award for best hostel in Dominican Republic for the last four years in a row!
Our aim is to create a haven for backpackers and travelers in the heart of the Caribbean: clean, safe and fun accommodation which won’t break the bank.
Our Hostel offers mixed dormitory accommodation with shared bathrooms, as well as private ensuite rooms at great rates you will not find elsewhere in the capital.
Please note that we require a minimum 2 month commitment.

You get to meet people from all over the world - learn new skills and have experiences that will stay with you for life. We have a great team of local workers that are more than happy to talk and practice their english and help you with Spanish. You can travel all around this beautiful and diverse island meeting new people and experiencing the real Dominican Culture!

RECEPTION
Helping our full time staff with languages and helping them check in guests. Chatting to guests from all over the world and helping our guests enjoy their time at the hostel.
Any skill is valuable, whether it is painting murals, teaching our guests to dance or even helping them learn a language.
What do I get in return?
A chance to live and work in the sun! What more would you want? We offer you food and accommodation in return for your hard work. You will have 2 days off in a row so you can go exploring around the Island. All you need is to pay for your ticket, health insurance and bring some pocket money.
Do I need to Speak Spanish?
We would prefer you to know some basic Spanish, however if you are prepared to learn and have a great personality then it is no problem.
How long can I volunteer for?
Please note that we require a minimum 2 month commitment.

The Dominican Republic is very easy to get around. Buses are cheap and you can get pretty much anywhere in your two days off a week.
Visit some of the worlds best beaches - try the local food, learn to dance and immerse yourself in the local culture.
